Default Removing front rotors

I just called a garage because I wanted to have my rotors replaced by someone other than the dealer to save money... The man said the job to replace the rotors and breaks would be 55 in labor, which im great with, however he said as hes not familiar with how they are on the tC, it could range from 55 to 150 in labor if he has to remove some type of wheel bearing or some type of bearing...

Does anyone have any idea if removal of some type of bearing is necessary for the two front rotors? This will make a big difference to whom I choose to take it to, thanks.

nope. i replaced my rotors myself and all it takes is removing the wheel and caliper, and then the rotor just pulls right off.

Unless the rotor is rusted to the hub - than you must enlist some pb blaster and a hammer - or a sledgehammer in my case Who cares about bangin up the old rotors - they arent going back on anyways

So true.. This is something he should know.. Most toyota are the same, If he asked something like do you have aftermarket brake system, or do you just want the front and backs done.. I would wouldn't go to that guy.. but then again I would do all the work myself.
good luck.

Yeah it's super easy man. I had never messed with brakes before, but I just used the guides of people online and success.
