Default Replacing an '05 stock radio for an '06 factory ipod radio.

I'm not sure if anyone has done this, but I seemed to have done it succesfully. I have one major problem though. The volume on the new radio is significantly lower. Does it pump less wattage or did I do something wrong? Does anyone has any experience with this, or suggestions?

yea, xb mode helps, but it's not the same, especially with the bass setting. it's almost like the bass doesnt increase. with my '05 radio, that thing was blasting, so i dunno. i guess i'll get a sub and see wut happens.

same wattage between 05 and 06. Hold down SSP til it beeps, then use the volume **** to switch to the different modes (xA, xB, tC). Both xA and xB modes are louder than the tC mode. this is the problem.

let us know if that fixes it.

no, this isn't the problem. it doesnt have to do with switching modes, i've tried that. it seems to be something else internally, not having to do with settings

Will anything change if you do that to the standard 05 setting too (make it louder)? changing setting to xa, xb. For the use of an ipod I just purchased a periferal ipod adapter from mp3yourcar.com, it works great.

have you messed with the ASL- low, med, high? the 06+ have that setting and i'm wondering if the 05 which doesn't have that would affect the volume without that signal being sent.

ASL= Automatic Speed Level volume control.. As you speed up or slow down the volume will adjust accordingly. This was on the 06+ models.
