Anyways, quick question....I know the radio isn't going to "pound" like the system i just had, but how is that lil sub they include now? I upgraded to the LCD Pioneer(im aware its still 160watts) but i like the look of it.
I just drove my car home from my friends after taking the system out and i couldn't believe my ears, of how crappy the stock setup was. Im basically just wondering if i'll be somewhat satisfied with what it comes with??
Where in BK did you pick it up? Bayridge Toyota? I picked mine up in Queens at Queensboro Toyota.
Bayridge Toyota, they had 2 actually. Then i sat in 2hour traffic back to my job with no radio

Theres one in my town....

They want a mouth dropping $26,000 for it. They did the typical "Stealership" thing to do....add more accessories to jack up the price tag! To top it off, its a 5-speed.

I do think its quite interesting Toyota didn't install the rear sway bars in "race setting." Why have put one on if you're having it in "street?" So guys if you want your tCs to handle little more better, but the sway into the second hole.

hey a couple questions for you guys as I am looking to get the rs 5.0:

If i get the big brakes do they give me back the originals?

Is it true that i need to get the 19" wheels because they wont fit on the 18?

Does the $1350 price for the big brakes include installation? I'm asking this because i read somewhere that it does include?

thanks

Well if you notice here in this pic from the Chicago Auto Show where they showed the car.You can see the big brake kit on with the 18's on it

As for the $1350.00 price tag on it i doubt thats with installation

first, you don't need the BBK. it would be waste of money and you can upgrade to better rotors and pads for cheaper. the disclaimer does say that they fit the 5 spoke 19" wheels, but i don't know if that is due to the offset or the size of the wheel. i have bought 3 scions from 3 different dealers and they have all included installation in the price of the option, but the dealer you use could be different. you will have to ask for the original parts back because the BBK is not a port installed item.

what are you guys using to clean your wheels? even when i use a rag or brush, it doesn't get all the brake dust off.

jack up the back of the tc and use jack stands to support the tc. look underneath where the sway bar connects and you will see 2 holes. take off the nut on both sides and adjust to the next hole. tighten everything up and torque it down. it takes all of 10 mins to change.

Thanks for the link about the sway bar.. And sorry, Im OCD about washing once a week, this has been since the purchase date.. So im not sure what break dust on the rims would even look like..??.. I do use McGuires quick shine on my rag when I wipe them down.. it helps keep the sheen... I wouldnt use any tireshine or armorall, like ive heard some people suggest...

I had an 07 tC Spec Package(bought May 07) that I traded in to get the RS 5.0. I was used to that grill and not to wild about the 08 grill. The exhaust was the first thing I got when I got the Spec and put on at about 1200 miles. If I were to sell it I will never see near the money amount I paid for. Like you said to each his own, and I'm probably the only one so far to have changed out the TRD exhaust, and most likely the only one with a Spec grill.

Nice pics dropzone... I like the photos of the grill.. I have a debadged DIY honecomb top grill, im thinking about painting black and installing... If you would have gotten a CAI the exhaust would have gotten louder.. Im not a fan of the new exhaust.. sorry.. But, I do love the TRD Black front strut bar!!! That is the same one I want.. a little harder to find...

Hey so this is the run down regarding the BBK.

Sales people at toyota have no clue when you ask them about the BBK, in fact they go onto the TRD USA website where there is an statement about 19', I originally thought that you could only get them if you got 19's. But then I saw the pic that posted from the Chicago auto show and I was convinced that it would work so I ordered them.

If you get the BBK prior to the day of delivery they will be covered under the Toyota warranty if its written up on the bill of sale.

They will and have to give you the stock brakes back.

The price does include installation.

Needless to say i got then installed at the dealer and they fit perfectly, however if you get a flat on the front tires (BBK is only the front) the spare tire will NOT fit.

I know bought Konig rims and they fit and look great.
