Default Rubber Plugs..

Hey guys, I saw this on yoursciontc.com:

Rubber plugs in the glovebox.

Anyone know anything about these plugs? I didn't know anything about them before I read that post, and the dealership didn't say anything about it.

Hopefully they installed it.

i had the same two plugs; the dealership told me they were not necessary unless you live where it snows alot and they put salt on the road. They told me they dont put them in cause we dont have to worry about salt, plus the holes they cover can keep rain water stuck in the frame, so they said it was better to leave them open so it can drain. sounds kinda fishy but im not too worried.

Sounds to me like plugs to keep holes in the frame plugged from salt to prevent erosion to the frame...

but, if you dont live near salted snow roads, it would let water buildup inside the frame drain properly...

is that right?

I found these plugs in my glove box when I got my tC. At first I was like wtf, but then I guess I just forgot about it or didn't care. I figure, if they're really really important, they would've done it already. Mine aren't installed, so seriously let me know if I'm gonna ruin my new car without them.

Geeze guys read the link he gave you, they explain it.

As far as I remember, the holes are closer to the rear wheel. Look under your car - you can't miss a 2" oval hole...
