I purchased my tC about 1.5 mos. ago and I love it. What I don't like, is that I am now getting junk mail from them on a daily basis. I am getting things like questionnaires(which can be useful), thank you letters, and just random crap!!!

The kicker is what I got a few days ago.....They actually sent me flyers for the 3 Scion models, with a letter. It said that they know people will be stopping me while driving and asking me questions about the car, and that I should just hand them one of the flyers they so graciously sent me.

I am sorry, but holy crap!! They either hired some genious marketing team, or they are truly Advertising "******"!!!!

PS I threw the flyers in the trash!!!

 

Heh, I heard about them doing that. I don't know if it's corporate, the dealer, or corporate telling yout dealer to do that, but that is lame...

If they gave you like $1 for each one you gave out, & the person took to the dealer with your # on it. Then I would pass them out like mad.

I thought the flyer thing was a very cute idea. We all have had experience of someone asking us about the car and spitting out specs and such. I just dont like that there is no real spec information in the flyers. Makes them garbage to me other than a pretty picture with a price tag. The flyer should list all features and main specs like transmissions, hp and torque. Still a nice idea of theirs. I wouldnt mind handing them out to people that ask me about the car if they had more info than the price.

 

so does that mean we get commision if they sell any scions to our referrals?

 

yeah i just got the flyers yesterday... and that weird letter with all that 'clip-art' in it instead of words. The letter seemed pretty unprofessional to me.. like a team of fifth graders made it

i got that crap about 3 weeks ago. before i even opened the letter, i was hoping for some cool scion keychain or something. but no, in it were these flyers that they asked me to hand out to people that stop me to ask questions. so far i've received about 3 "thank you"letters(one is enough), that flyer ads, and about 2 surveys. and in my email, i've received about 3 surveys, and one thank you letter. shhh.. these guys are persistant.

 

thats not just for tCs' either, when I got my xB the mail was pouring in. it still does to this day, but at least I am gettin col stuff too, like the new scion magazines with cds :D And one day i even got the $50 card too!

 

i'm getting a bunch of surveys as well. a private company sent me one and a $5 bill fell out. lucky me :D
