darkman247 just gave me a good idea, we were thinking if n e one is interested in making a scion gumball rally . i think it would b pretty sexy doing this, cuz it would draw attention and it would help us show off our sexy cars!!!!! what do u guys think???

We could get sponsors!!! like toyota, coca cola, Nitto and theres so many other companies that could help us along the way. U guys jus got to support the idea. COME ON! Think about it ? A Florida to California Rally, to be met buy a huge Scion Carshow.

I've also never heard of a "gumball rally" ... sounds like you just made it up.

None-the-less... this is what regional clubs are for... for Scion owners to get together and show off their cars. If you're really trying to get something together nationally, you're going to probably have to get the involvement of all of the clubs.

 

The "gumball" rally was originally the Gumball 3000 Rally. Jackass did a feature on it when they were on MTV. Also, in an edition of MODIFIED: Luxury and Exotics, you'll find a big write up on it. (not sure which issue). But it is done over seas in Europe. The original traveled form country to country, but they also did it in a race fashion. Cars had numbers, sponsors, and some were on teams. People would race anything from a Porsche to a Fiat to an Enzo Ferrari, basically multi-millionares/billionares with nothing better to do than scratch up pricey cars. This Gumball rally is basically a cross-country meet ending up in one designated spot. If it started in Florida, people in California would have nothing to do but wait on us. If it started in California, we'd just be waiting around!! Work out the bugs, and I'm in!

 

I think the real name is canon ball rally, or something like that, but who cares. As long as we all know whats being talked about.

 

Good stuff. Yeah it does sound a little lop sided. It would be hard to do something else. Could do a we go there, then they come here kind of thing? Could just do a west coast meet east coast & meat up in texas or around there?

 

we should do this tag team style(relay). Like race across your city/state and pass off the "baton" across the border.

 

That would be something to. I think it would be really sweet to have enough scion owners, on a major road way like I-10, so that it stretches out over a few miles long. I could see everyones eyes when they saw that. Even have everyone in groups. Like all the xBs, then xA & tCs then. That would be something sweet to see.

 

would it be a tC vs. xa vs xb or mixed teams?
