That would be interesting. I would say leave it open. Make teams of like 5-15 ppl on each team & the type of car would be left up to the team.

 

The Cannonball rally was a movie with Burt Reynolds and a few others. N E Wayz, as far as designating groups of xA's, xB's, and tC's, just leave it mixed. That'd make things easier to deal with.

 

and less bias towards the tC's.

The original was a race in Europe. But I think for the sake of not having anyone ticketed and/or arrested it would be a convoy... about the meeting in Cali and how it would be lopsided..I agree...we gotta work out the kinks but if we can all work together to get Regional clubs in on this we can gain a lotta support. Come August 20th ill be moving to Tallahassee for College...and clases might hinder my chances but if it were like a Fri-Sunday thing I'm definately down for that....possibly a meet in Texas from both coasts would be a great Idea.

 

well look. here's my take on it. you guys are starting in florida, but there is no way in hell I am driving all the way down there and then driving back. The gas cost alone would empty my wallet out, let alone dining, and a place to sleep. Would it be better if we organized several different local "convoys" and met up halfway? like....we collect all the scions in socal, have that as one group, all the scions in norcal, have that as another, and so on. Maybe one group from each state that has scions. And we take all those groups and we congregate on one location thats somewhere at the midpoint between everyone. Needless to say, I dont think we'll find a parking lot large enough to fit all our cars, but jesus, can you imagine the exposure? local TV Anchorman is gonna cream himself

 

i'd be down if i were in the states. good luck getting it organized.

Not to hinder on anything. But maybe we should first start with a state wide meet. Like ever state has a meet where all scion owners meet together. And go from there. (baby steps?).

 

Fresno seems like middle for Cali.

 

Now something like this could work out. The idea of of convoys of scions from each state would be great. Now the big thing would be finding a city that has a parking lot / event that could house a few thousand scions? Where would a good "middle" point be? TX is even a little far for some. It might only be about 1,000 miles from me & cali should be about 1100 from parts of TX. The guys up north in NY & stuff I would think its like 1500+ from them though. So if we could get the kinks worked out, it would be great

 

if u guys dont want to drive all the way down there, we could do the idea of the baton pass which would be funny yet awesome as hell. imagine it! like all the scions from florida drive up to georgia and pass the baton there, and georgia passes it on to alabama, and from alabama to mississ., get where im going????? that would still be kool!

 

Yeah that would be nice. We would need to make a real baton of some kind It would need to have a place to be signed to. That way each state could sign it. See how long it takes to get back to FL once its sent out. Maybe have it just move from club to club in each state. I would see something like this getting around in a months time or faster. :D

I know someone mentioned about a State-Wide Meet and I wouldn't have it any other way really....in my case I'm in florida, and I'll be in Tallahassee...if we Floridians Convoy somewhere to the North-Northwest, would you guys really want to meet in Orlando? Or rather just slide into place as the existing convoy comes from South Fla.? I wouldn't mind to backwards drive but I'm sure some would. ah here it is

 

I would be up to a little backwards driving. It could be a little hard to "slip in" not knowing exactly when the convoy would roll by. Also it would be hard saying if it would roll by all towns & what not.

 

this things can get rely pricey but if we could get scion and some other sponsers this could be cool either way if we cant get some thing to gether we should try and get some scions together for the aka rally http://www.akarally.com/ its a massive party and seem like it would kick ___ i realy want to go next year but a scion rally would be better
