Scion tC compared to Integra?
I used to have a two-door leather Integra GSR, and I loved every minute I spent in that car. Until the clutch started slipping and I got various rattles and a possible leaky head gasket. I'd say comparison wise, the performance is really about the same between the two. The tC just has better low end torque, where the Integra has better top end power. I really can't tell much of a difference between the two in the 0-60 category. Trim and ammenities wise, the tC owns in this category. More features than I even know what to do with. The only thing it's lacking that the GSR had was the leather, but I can live with that. Handling, I would have to say that the tC edges out the Integra in a stock-to-stock comparison due to the fact that it has way newer suspension technology, with double-wishbones and macpherson struts. I feel a little less body roll from the tC in sharp turns. I'd say for seat-of-your-pants driving excitement, the Integra wins in this category, just because theres few feelings in the world that can be compared to going full throttle VTEC all the way to the end of the speedometer with an 8100rpm redline. Anyway as far as styling goes, I'd say both cars have their plus's and minus's. Just my 0.02
so what did you get, your integra is debadged. i wish i had gotten here earlier to put my two-cents in.
most of what has been said is true, integras are lighter, better gas mileage, faster and so on, but that is because they are older, smaller, and complied to fewer federally mandated safety regulations. i'm not saying they are unsafe, but i mean, look at how much cars weighed that were built in the 90's. i mean, hell, i can't believe there are cars like the dodge magnum/charger that weigh well over 4400 pds when my 95 explorer weighed 4189.
newer cars are just bigger and heavier than older ones. its a fact of life apparently. the whole reason we are being introduced to the honda fit, nissan versa, toyota yaris and so on is because the sentra, civic, and corolla have grown comparatively huge since the 80's and 90's.
anyway, the tc is not marketed for the ghetto. one is ghetto folks can't afford new cars. they would come standard with spinners and a gawdy hood emblem with loads of chrome.
i'll leave looks, and layout alone, that is literally a person by person preference. i like it, some don't, agree to disagree. but the suspension and so on is different. you want a comfy ride for getting from point a to point b, the tc has a nice ride and peppy engine. you want a sportier ride, guess what, trd has struts, springs, anti-sway bars, strut-tower braces, quick shifters, supercharger and so on. you can make it as sporty as you want.
anyway, buying a used integra to me is less than smart for several reasons. you bought a highly stolen car apparently. you got a used car with no warrenty and are you aware of its service history? if you got a gsr or type r or whatever, guess what that car was built for, and guess what it has been through? you got a used sports car that may have been ridden hard and seen some harsh rides. my view on buying a used car is buying somebodyelse's problems.
so anyway, when your car gets stolen, or you have catastrophic mechanical problems, consider learning how to do a cost-benefit analysis.
sorry if it sounds like i'm wishing bad things upon you and your car. but that is just my opinion. hope it works out and you get lots of driving enjoyment.

i dont like the headlights of the tc, probably a reason i didnt buy one. another reason why i didnt buy the tc was because its boring to drive like all the other toyotas ive driven. i dont feel connected one bit. i love hondas because i feel more connected with the car and road and plus it feels a lot more raw.
oh man the integra interior looooks so much better. i couldnt stand the cluster of the tc, just uhh ugly imo. center console was ok but imo integra looks so much better. lol dont flame me for this but i think the tc is ghetto and was marketed for the ghetto..
dont get me wrong..the tc is nice and makes a good dd

why pay so much for a used car that will be really hard to find in good condition?
