I have the same problem in my Matrix. The interiors are made of almost identical kinds of fabric. But I must warn you, these seats will soak up EVERYTHING and you will NEVER get it out. That goes for food grease, cleaning solvents, spilled liquids, male fluids (lol). The material is SUPER absorbant and you will have one hell of a time to get it out, but chances are it'll be in there forever. A friend of mine spilled a bottle of dash conditioner on the driver's seat and now there's what looks like a nice translucent grease stain on it. Nobody will ever notice it though since it's under my ___ 95% of the time hehe. Just wanted to share my experience...

No need to buy a seat cover. You would just ruin the look of the car. Just dont eat in your car and spill anything and you'll be just fine. Also, I would invest in a can of Scotch Guard and spray down all the seats in the car. It will make life a lot easier SHOULD you spill anything in there. I believe it's like $7 or $8 and you can get it just about anywhere. Good luck!

you just bought the car and the seat material is already wore out?
damn, the material is so crappy and cheap unless someone spilled something on the seat.

Scotch Guard is great and rather inexpensive. It will leave a smell for several hours and then go away. Just do on a sunny day and leave your windows down. Usually two coats does the trick. Not sure how often you have to apply. Every year or two I think.
