Default Should I buy this car?

Hello everyone, new here. Hope I got the right forum-I looked!

Anyway I'm in the market for a used car that isn't so stodgy as most. I had narrowed my choices down to a Mazda3 or Jetta before I even realized this car existed. My friend from work mentioned she traded one in at a local Benz dealer towards her new(used) G35. Anyway I know for a fact it's a 1-car owner and that she treats her cars very well, so that gives me a little more confidence. This here is the advertisement for the car. They gave me a good deal on my trade in ($900 for an '95 Camry), a 6,000 mile limited warranty (mostly powertrain issues). Tires are almost brand new, 2k max put on them. Anyway, the final offer we made up was $14k out the door before any down payment that wasn't my trade in. I drove the car and really liked it, I'm just curious what you guys think about the offer. It's not exactly pushing my budget, but I want to pay a fair price.

Thanks, and hope to be joining you guys here soon as an owner.

What's the manufacturer warranty like? Or does it really even matter? It seems they have the typical Toyota reliability. I could go about an hour away and nab an 06 with half the miles and a CPO warranty for an extra 2k if people think it worth it. What's the difference between 05 and 06? All I saw were the steering wheel audio controls.

you should be able to lower that price for an 05 with 50k miles. The 06 with about 25k miles should be around 15,5

I get the feeling that they aren't going to be going down any more. As it was it took an hour and a half and two or three people to get them to commit to that offer. I don't mind paying a little more since I know the only previous owner well and they are basically kicking in a new set of tires...I just don't want to really overpay.

Anything specific I should look it over for if I go back to check it out? The only thing I noticed was the econocar standard rattles at highway speed, nothing new.
