Chicago burbs is where I'm at. A lot of action, and not retardedly expensive yet!

Seattle is awesome, but might as well move to cali since it's just as expensive

CA isn't that expensive, just some areas more than others (especially the Bay Area, freaking gas is highest there too).

I live in Sacramento, not too bad here, depending on where you live crime and such isn't bad and living is pretty decent. Currently paying 890/mo for a 2 bed, 2 bath apt w/ washer and dryer. Splitting it 3 ways so it is pretty cheap

Hope things work out for you man!

there is work if you're good :D

Gas is $3.65 a gallon by me. It just depends on where you live. the city is really, really expensive, but if you move out about 20-30 miles from Chicago, it's pretty affordable for housing

Anyway, aside from hawaii, anyone have any recommendations on nice places to live.
i dont care about how expensive it is or whatever as i'm sure I can find a job anywhere. Just some options in the US would be cool.

And anyone know how much it would cost to ship my car to somewhere like hawaii?
Hawaii is nice but there is more rain there than you think. 3 of my buddies in my unit are all from different locations around the country. I'll give you what I've heard from the 3.

Florida guy: Florida is called (the sunshine state) or whatever but it actually gets tons of ocean thunderstorms and depending on what area you are in will depend on if you are surrounded by old people who are retired or cubans lol

Hawaii guy: Hawaii is a beautiful place and once you get close with the locals and become one yourself and see what there is to see outside of the tourist spots then you can really enjoy it there. He would recommend living on one of the smaller islands. He moved there from Kansas. He also said they got plenty of storms.

Seattle, Washington guy: Everyone thinks they get tons of rain up there and in the winter it is wet however it's mostly a mist or sprinkle that happens during the winter months. However in the summer it's not well known but he said during a time he lived there they had 90 consecutive days of sunshine and during spring and summer it's normally like that. Seattle has plenty to do and is pretty chill. He did say however that there are a lot of speed traps in his town.

Hope you find the place you're looking for.

milwaukee is pretty cool, you have to put up with winter for 3-4 months but the people are pretty cool and the cost is not to bad, its a perfect medium of all things

Come to Connecticut. Wealthiest state in America. Alot of jobs out here, and you can find 2 bedroom apartments out here for less then a grand. But there are negatives, I live in CT. LOL

Seattle is a great place but very expensive. I live in Portland, Oregon. I have a 1500 square foot apartment that used to be an art gallery. I pay $1000 a month, for living in the city that's not bad. I also lived in the Denver Colorado area for a few year and it's probibly one of the best places to live in the US.

Hawaii has the highest cost of living in the US...so cali would be a little better than that. You just need to get the right job and the cost of living won't seem like much. I have a good job (around 90k a year), a house, 2 cars...and i'm never really hurting for cash...just go to school for 2 years and become an RN...u'll make great money

Hawaii would be as bad as Cali cost of living-wise. A lot depends on what you're looking for. If I were to move I definitely couldn't move to a land-locked state. I gotta have the beach around me somewhere!! I don't know if it's the drinking water out here but Cali has some of the hottest women, period. To me, S.F. is laid back. If I want to have a chill weekend, I'll go there. If I want to have a good time, I'll go to L.A. When I was single, I had me many hook-ups in L.A. (And I'm just a decent looking guy.) So as I said earlier, it depends on what you're interested in.

Just remember; shallow people like that are everywhere. They aren't just restricted to NJ.
