So My Car Get's Stolen, And Allstate Denies The Claim...
4-11-09 My tC gets stolen, long story short after a ____ load of run around they say it was an inside job and that since the window wasn't broken they're not covering it.
Has anyone had a similar experience, or an ideas/tips?
And also there is something stuck in the ignition that they haven't/won't take out.
Oh, and I only got one key from the dealership when I purchased the car.
They found the car, and the inside was gutted, rims gone, speedo gone, and rear bumper taken.

I guess next time you'll have someone more experienced steal and gut your car, lol
jk, but theres really nothing you can do that I can think of... how did they steal your car without taking your key?
I've been on the look out for your wheels in craigslist seeing if they would turn up so I could let you know and still nothing. I still think someone with a tc must've done it

Yeah allstate has been a joke forever. And I know I'll get people on here saying they're all wonderful and cool.. but I bet they work for them.
Most people I know who have Allstate never do after one claim. I agree if they don't want to honor your contract for insurance then sue them. Wasn't it allstate that was sued down in New Orleans after Katrina?

how did they start your car.........never mind gettign in without breaking window, any idiot can do that in under 2 minutes, but how did they start car with imobilizer in the computer,or do you have valet key in it for remote start.........
Also they have to prove you were involved in stealing it.......and if they can do that you would be in jail already for insurance fraud......and car theft........so guess you need to go back to them and let them kno wyou are calling the insurance commisioner in your state and filing a complaint, they need to prove their case, not just their opinion,if they cannot prove it they have to pay.........
If they can prove it,you should move away quickly.

Progressive FTW... so far anyway.
Sucks that you shell out so much money for insurance and the company that is supposed to take care of you when these things happen do everything tey can to NOT help you out. Sad.

Your car can be gotten into using one of those door popper kits that you get online. Any tow truck driver, cop, firefighter, locksmith, mechanic, etc.
The no broken glass "evidence" is just them trying to deny your claim. It's pretty damn easy to get into a car when you have the right tools. How do you think Repo men work?
The whole 'immobilizer" key thing is easy too, they just tow your car. They roll it on a flatbed or something or just one of those "scoop and pick" pickup trucks. Then they can take it wherever and have their way with it.

you can do something, contact the department of insurance for your state.
call your insurance company and ask if you should call them. If that doesn't get their attention then file a complaint, then your state can investigate it.

They have to PROVE it was an "inside job", and if it wasn't, they shouldn't be able to. Not having the window broken is NOT proof of anything except that the window wasn't broken, any good thief can pick the door lock in about 7 seconds. Sue them!
Now if it was an "inside job", well....
