I dont want to but my dad B****ing about it that i shoud sell it and get a 07 but i dont like o7 and im telling him that the 05-06 are better then 07 and you know how parents are they just keep in till or think they are alwayz right
Why would you not want an 07? I hear they are coming out with a fix for the s/c issue. Other than that, the 07 is the exact same car with a few minor improvements and a lot less depreciation. Plus, you know you like puttin' all that work into it and the idea of doing it all over again is appealing... Don't lie... You know its true

Parts + Labor is expensive to put into a new car. The TC is a very reliable vehicle. I'd say keep it and get something new. It feels good to have a new toy for the car.

Take the $16K, pay off the rest of the TC, leaves you with $12K as deposit on something FASTER!

GM has a sale this weekend with 0% financing for 72 months. HELLO PONTIAC GTO WITH 400HP

I say take off your bolt-ons, and depending on how long it takes you to return it back to stock, ask for 17k. I think her offering 16k for a 16.7k car w/ 30k miles is a pretty good deal (if it's stock). That way you can get a new 06 or 07 and start all over again w/ your warranty (look at it this way--you only 6k miles left on your comprehensive warranty as it is).

What are you people talking about? Why do you keep insisting that the 07 is an inferior product when compared to its predecessors? Its the same car

the m5 had more than that. they came to my house too and told me they wanted to buy my m5. i sold it to them for 85000 cash and look at me now. rollin in an xrunner haha. but yea, dont sell your baby that you put blood and sweat into to get it where it is. they can go buy their own tc. this is one of those few times that you have to tell ur dad to f*** off cause its not his car since he keeps insisting.

here's my opinion, sell the car and start a new project. I had a GSR with over 19k into just the engine and suspension, then moved onto a s13 w/ SR20DET, we do this for the love of cars and starting a new project is always a blast. The tC is not the best car out there so I wouldn't get too attached. I say sell it get & something RWD or AWD with that 12k down payment. just my .02 in the end it's your decision and you should make that yourself not ask a bunch of strangers...
