Only you can determine if the sound is "good enough". Personally I have never liked a stock system. However, the tC's stock system is a very good system. But if I was to purchase something for the sound, it would be an amp.

I'm going to run CDT carbon fiber EF fronts, a CDT 12" sub, and cadence amps all around. Should sound decent.

a 300 watt amplifier to the whole system with new speakers all around will do nicely...

as for me, I require heavy bass...

Resonant Engineering XXX for me...

2x 12" XXX off 4,000 watts each...

Just remember Diluvium that music is transient in nature..kinda like the ocean goin up and down..it doesnt flow straight across the board so I wouldnt worry about blowing your back speakers unless your underpowering them and trying to use the gain control as some kind of magic volume ****. Weve had 1000 watts rms on a set of Focal Utopia tweets and they sounded like silk.
Remember CAPS only store a small amount of discharge, though they recharge pretty quick just consider what it is youre wanting it to do..imagine your finger is a cap and tapping your finger on the table to a 35 HZ bass note..it gets faster...you get faster but at one point you will not be able to keep up just like the CAP. They help to stabilize the power its sending but wont help to give you any more power. I would say start off with a good 4 channel amp with a decent crossover set up, keep the factory head, then when money allows, get a good head unit with at least 4 volts of output. That will help keep your gain levels down .After mowing a few lawns I would then buy a line driver or EQ/line driver to help feed that amp more voltage allowing you to lower the gain even more. The lower you can keep that gain the less noise from the amp.
