Default Stiff/ Soft brakes?!?!?!

When I test drove my tC it had VERY stiff brakes... The guy said it was normal for a new car... But then when I bought my tC from another dealer, the breaks were soft and normal... Now, every other car i've driven... Brand new and old... Had soft brakes like normal. So was the guy a moron or is this sometimes common for new cars. Because all the one's i've driven were soft.

I have a good feeling that guy didn't know ____.

In other news... GANKED!

yup, the tC's brakes a little better than incredibly freaky squishy toyota brakes you would find on a Camry, Sienna, etc

I would prefer a much tighter feel, but at least Toyota didn't go with their usual feel. I've gotten used to it.

The first tC I test drove had really tight brakes (as you said), but didn't actually STOP the car until I was almost all the way down to the floorboard! There was something seriously wrong with that car. I was afraid I was going to get into an accident with a car that wasn't even mine, despite going below 40 mph.
