stoptech stage 2 kit fits fine. i have 17" enkei's

everything is an OEM replacement and it uses the OEM calipers. (rotors, ss lines, pads)

rotors are OEM sized (IMO get slotted - more solid construction, drilled rotors have the slight possibility of cracking)

maybe you're confusing this with a BBK? (i believe some tC BBK's require 18" wheels)

I wanna find out where I can get those StopTech calipers in red.. I want red calipers but I don't wanna get Brembo.. too much $$.. dont wanna paint them either.. looks too cheasy..

it would be nice if I could get my hands on those calipers/cross slotted and drilled rotors.. new lines and pads are always welcome.. not really worried about this right now though since my car doesnt even have 20k miles yet.. but this will be a future mod.. deff worth spending around $500-600 for a nice kit

Ive been thinking about this kit as well, the only thing stopping me is changing out the lines, and bleeding the brakes.

i've had the kit for about 3 months now, still haven't swapped out the lines yet.

zer0myst here's a picture of how the front rotor from the stage 2 stoptech package looks on my car. *note* it's an oem caliper painted red

i don't know anything about powerslot rotors, but i've had the stoptech stage 2 installed for over a year now. i'm very happy with it. the brake pedal feel is much better. i haven't measured stopping distances, but the pads feel like they have more bite. the system is fairly quiet with no squeaks or anything, but there is more dust than there was with the oem pads. i got the slotted rotors, and wet braking seems to have improved as well. i'd definitely recommend the stainless steel braided lines to everyone. the whole stage 2 kit is a good value though, and the quality is top notch.

I dont think there is much of a difference, just the name and possibly price.

if you want the calipers, you are going to have to buy the stoptech bbk, the calipers will not fit on oem sized rotors I was told, and a price upwards of 1k i beleive.

two of the things that kept me from even considering the BBK was 1) i dont rally or circuit race and i dont plan to, and 2) its more unsprung weight. I figure if your going for looks, or are actually racing, then go for it, if its you DD and you want to improve your braking, then for the price, its not for me.

I tried doing a search on the quality of both rotors, but didnt really find anything... i guess once you buy one of the other, its rare that someone will switch and try the other brand. People tend to be happy with which ever they buy.

good choice on not getting the BBK. yea, you're not going to be needing that thing unless you race your car at the trak or take part in auto crossing. the StopTech stage 2 package is i actually a pretty good steel considering all the things that are included. its pretty much more than what you need for a daily driver.

Do the stage 2 keep the ebrake? I was reading something about some systems not keeping it, but that may be from a BBK. Also how are the Ultimates on stock rotors that have some mileage on them?

for the stage 2 kit, all u do is swap out the rotors, throw in the new pads if your pads are low, swap out the brake lines and fluid, and that's it. nothing else changes. i've only used the ultimates on the aftermarket rotors, so i wouldn't be able to answer that question Osirion.

Well, My friend just got this StopTech Stage II kit in for his 2007 WRX... We were quite shocked and confused when we opened the shipping box. The two front rotors were just as advertized with the nice black coating on the hub and vents that StopTech makes, the rear on the other hand were normal PowerSlot rotors with no black coating... When we called the company he ordered them from he said that StopTech got merged with PowerSlot and they discontinued making the nice black coated rotors and will be using normal PowerSlot rotors from now on... When we went to the StopTech website we varified this information... So he got stuck with 2 different kinds of rotors!! My kit will be arriving today, and I'm a bit worried if I will be in the situation, I'm really hoping for either all StopTech, or all PowerSlot rotors - I really don't want a mixed kit... I will say this though, the stopping power is still excellent!

Who looks at the inside of the hubs anyway? All that matters is that it performs better than the stock rotors. IMHO

True, but it was the misleading information that sucked - you usually expect to get what you paid for, right?... Nowhere on any website selling these does it say you may get a mixed kit, or they merged (whatever the case)... I did mention that his car stops great, and I have nothing against PowerSlot (had them on my Maxima)... My point being is that if something changes like that id be nice to have a little heads-up, thats all ...
