Default Subwoofer/Hatch/Spare Tire Question

You'll have to forgive me if this has already been posted, but the dealership didn't go over it with me at pickup. I got my car back from service after they had gone home for the night.

I got the bazooka sub that's an add-on option.

Say I'm driving along and I run over a nail. And I get a flat...

Besides the obvious combination of and with a little bit of depending on WHERE it happens...

How the HELL do I get into the trunk to get to the spare? The sub prevents it from opening.

How and where does it attach to the car? What should I have in my glovebox or wherever so that I can get in there and change it?

Again, if this is a repost, SORRY... I tried...

I humbly await your expertise!

Ur still able to get to the spare tire compartment. Its held in place with 2 12mm Bolts but its in air and has like 1/4 in clearance so you can remove your mat from under it and get to the spare tire. So dont sweat it......

Yes, I can confirm from first-hand experience that the subwoofer doesn't interfere with getting to the spare. You just need to unclip the cover and kind of slide it out from under the sub.

Right... turn the two ***** to unlock, and then slide the LEFT (non-sub) side up and out of the way first, then you'll have enough space to sort of pull, lift, and rotate the cover until it unclips and you can take it out. You'll be fine, but you might want to remove the cover now just to see how it works before it's dark and you've got a flat.

good call. Actually gonna give it a shot now. Before I bought my scion I remember hearing someone talking about half disassembling the sub to get to it and I thought there was no way that was the way it was supposed to be done. Thanks guys. I'll post back once I play with it for a few

Sweet. Checking it out became a "Oh yeah, there's a meet tomorrow night. I should probably clean it, etc." Two hours and a vaccum later...

A LOT easier than I ever thought it would be.

Thanks again!
