tC driver kills woman in hit and run
people in general take life for granted and invest in petty things, cheap thrills
pointing your finger at this one girl isn't going to change the world
people take all the technological conveniences and forget where the life is in all of that...

^^ Very true..
As for there not being a track with in hundreds of miles than there is only 1 simple solution DONT RACE !!! Simple.
Just because there is no track to legally race on doesnt give people permission to illegally street race.

"There's no track nearby." That is just an excuse that's used. These people would still be street racing, because they don't have the sense to realize that doing it on public roads is really stupid and careless. If you want to race then petition to close off a road that isn't used, BUT do it legally. Do it like once a month, as I said though do it legally ask the police what steps to go through. Basically if you can't do race the right way, don't other to do it at all. Racing is dangerous even when it's isolated and controlled, so when there traffic and others not involved that's where the problem lies.

I'm sure that one of the authorities very first stops was at the owner's home. We do not know enough to comment at this point.

i feel sorry for the lady's family. I really do hope they get the girl who did this and also the guy in the Red Subaru for helping her. they really need to be punished! I know she might have been freaked out but d**n! dont run off and leave the lady there to die!
Depends on what the Suby driver knew (or claims to have known) at the time. It is possible that the other driver did not know at the time that the tC driver had just killed someone, and simply gave a friend/acquaintance a ride 'cause her car broke or whatever.
However, once the Suby driver knows enough to put two and two together and come up with anything between three and five, their best move would be to call the hotline number, or even 911 and give whatever info they have - and claim they didn't know of the death at the time they gave the ride.
If they don't do that, and are found, they can be in deep, uh, poo.
