Default tC rear bumper applique

Does anyone have a pic of this with it on their car?

I have a pic at work that I'll post tomorrow (if nobody else beats me to it.)

The rear bumper applique is just a decal that "protects your bumper" by protecting the surface that is covered by the sticker from scratches, right? Is that a likely place to get scratches anyway? Just curious. I think it looks cool but don't know if it is worth the $58 or whatever it costs. -Jayme

As always, it's cheaper from Partznet. I think you could scuff the bumper sliding things in and out of the hatch, but you're not likely to damage it if you're only loading groceries or smallish luggage.

Unless you are carelessly shoving 2x4s in there, you will be fine. My Matrix has a heavy duty bumper protector that never actually had a chance to "serve and protect"

The bumper applique is just a thin vinyl sticker that goes over the bumper in the rear. I'm guessing that it's for the cool factor since it has "SCION" embossed in the center, but I would have to say that spending that much money on a sticker that you can barely notice is absolutely ridiculous. Realistically, you can never get the applique off of the bumper since it's a 3M product, so IMHO it would be just as bad to scratch the applique then it would be to scratch the bumper. Unfortunately it seems to come standard on all of the tC's I've seen so far. Just my 2 cents.

Same here, I bought my Matrix a bumper protector the first day I had it. And a year later it has yet to have a chance to prove itself. Now if only Toyota thought to make front bodykit lip protectors... sigh...

I have only seen one, and it was on a white tc. It seemed like a lot of dirt and stuff was stuck around the edges of it...so maybe a pain? :?
