The alarm is essentially a plug-in option with immobilizer.

Guess my dealer lied. Buttons are on the keys.

i'm also curious if there is a device i can put in my car.. like under the seat or something .. n if the car is stolen i can activate it and itll give me the location of my car
The TC comes with an alarm. The alarm goes off if someone opens the door. When you order the security package that adds a glass sensor and immobilizer .
As far as finding your car .
You would need a pretty powerful transmitter and then a nice yagi antenna to track it down. Really isnlt an option unless the theives are local.
You could install a gps in the car and a 2 way pager. The GPS can send location information to a remote location all the time or at a time interval specified by you. You can do the same with a cell phone .
One of the easiest things to do is if you have a family cell plan is to leave one phone in the car. hidden, ring off with auto answer enabled. Police can call your cell phone.
When a GSM phone is active it will give your location by cell ID and distance from the tower (within 500 meters). It can even tell you if you the speed at which you are moving toward or away from the tower. Now depending upon the beamwidth of the antennas and distance between cells this can still be a very big area but the car could be found rather easy. And if they are in motionit is even easier to track them with cell handoffs.

If you open the door, nothing will happen. You need the $500 Scion security option to have a door open/shock/glass break sensor.
Which $500 is a waste for the factory alarm.
