Default Tc Trunk wont stay open..

Hello I just wanted to post to see if anyone else has had this problem. I really don't know what happened one day I went to open the trunk and it didn't open. Anyway just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if possible tell me how to fix it. Also I had one question regarding TC body kits. I saw one on a TC comercial awhile back that had it in red and it had like 3 fins on the back well it looked like fins. Anyone know what type of body kit that is?

the tc in that commercial wasn't a body kit, it was a custom made tc for the commercial. it isn't up for sale afaik.

The truck-opener is powered... Did you look for any broken fuses? Should be a 20Amp fuse

...Or it could be you need new shocks for the hatch. If it doesn't stay open.

If you have a Pedestal Spoiler, the weight of the spoiler could have blown the struts. (Which would seem unlikely, but you never know. )

Thanks for replies guys I think the struts might be blown because it doesnt stay open. In regards to the body kit I just wanted to know I thought it looked unique go figure lol. Anyone have any idea on how to get those fixed? I bought my scion in NY so I don't know if I can go to any scion to get it fixed?? or if anyone knows where I can get the struts it would be greatly appreciated.

if it is under warranty, you can take it to any toyota/scion dealership for repairs no matter where you got it.

and www.trdsparks.com has heavy duty struts availiable for the tc's with the pedestal spoiler.

That tC is just plain wrong.

You're right, the tC in the commercial has those hideous wheels, but it has the fins!

Yes, Squall is right. The tC in the commercial is CG animated and is not real. They have along with other random people made a few replica models of the shark tC but the kits are different. They are just Look A Likes.
