Default tC won't start

Yo, my tC's been acting up lately. It won't start the first time I turn the iginition key. It has taken me up to 5 tries to get the car started. Also the car stutters when starting and dies... My car is 2 months old btw... ROFL

yikes. sounds like you got a bad starter. take it to the
dealership. lucky for you it will all be under warranty.

you could always upgrade sparkplugs, sparkplug wires, and the ignition!

Do you have the 5-spd, maybe you're not pushing in the clutch far enough?

Just asking, I've had mine since December and I know if I don't have the pedal completely floored, the car exhibits the same symptoms you listed. Maybe your clutch floor sensor is faulty or needs adjustment.

Since you said it sputters and dies then you have to start it again..maybe the fuel pump is back aswell? They might check that out too.

For the past 3 weeks or so, this has been happening with my car too, about 25% of the times I go to start it. If I let the clutch pedal up and depress it again, the car will then start. It's annoying, but I can live with it if there is nothing "wrong" with the car.

This happened to me, and i was real ____ed...i was out in town took it to the dealer pulled into the service bay and was about to yell at someone...the tech pulled my floormat back and put it back onto the hook. Try that, I felt really dumb. The mat was stuck between the floor and the clutch.
