I learned from this website, AFTER I BOUGHT MY tC, that just before you turn off your car, if you have the lights on, then kill the ignition and open your driver door, the headlights automatically turn off... however, with this being said, if you enter your tC via passenger's door after having done so, and you put your ignition onto the ON position the lights ofcourse will turn on, but when you kill the ignition and exit via the passenger door, the headlights will stay on and not automatically turn off like they did as earlier stated.

I didn't realize I had the dual rubber/carpeted mats until one day I got my car washed and noticed teh carpet was coming. I then found the tabs you push to release the carpeted part. If I lived in an area where it snowed alot or rained, that'd be a great feature. But i'm lucky, I live in SoCal where its nice everyday.

I am going to avoid repeating everything in this thread so I am just going to say that I have discovered there are a lot of things I didn't know about this car, (I am in it reading this thread playing as I go ... thank god for wireless internet), The sale would have been even sweeter had I known some of this stuff. Thank you guys for posting this ... I love this car!

I was surprised to find out that if you move the seat all the way forward, take off the headrest, and lay the back down...it lines up perfectly with the back seat to make a somewhat comfortable bed. Useful for those waits inbetween classes. Although, without a pillow it's really awkward.

Also, I found out the stock Yokohama's suck.

Not everyone beats on them. You are on an enthusist site, and therefore there are going to be a lot of people who see what the car can do. You are going to find that on any site ... but still, not everyone beats on them.

It's 4287, not 428. Most of us are enthusiasts and like to drive cars in an enthusiastic manner. However, there's a difference between topping a car out and "beating" on it. I'm sure most of the people here wouldn't dream of "beating" on their own car....a rental car is a different story though.

The cars I "beat" on are the ones I get for $75 up in Lake County... Rofl.

Yes, I do like to see what a car can do. I've done that with every car. See how it handles, how it does at high speeds (This one being VERY smooth), and of course... I like to see where the rev limiter kicks in at. =D

I like to know everything about the way my car moves before I can say I have a feel for it.

Oh and I discovered that I really can't find a comfortable driving position; either my legs are fine and I feel like I'm reaching for the steering wheel or my arms are fine and my legs are too cramped - or my head hits the headliner (I'm 6'3")
i feel you on this one

He is right here.. My car is show quality and I do not drive it hard at all. Besides on the interstate, the car ever goes over 3k RPMS. Grant it I do sometimes hit 90, thats as fast as I will go in the car. I've had it a year and a half now and I've redlined it twice in the entire period. Mainly because when it roles into show floors, I don't want to have to clean the exhaust crap off the pipe and worry about my car smoking when it's an indoor show. I baby my car.

Well, I found out that one way to fool a Texas State Trooper into thinking he locked your keys in the "trunk" is to tell him that you do not know how to open your rear hatch without the remote (which is inside the car)..... After about 45 minutes of yelling, and cursing, he couldn't figure out that you gotta hit the unlock button twice to open it. He let me off with a warning after he let me "figure" it out - I was clocked doing 101 on route 20...... Thanks Texas!!!!!!
