Throttle Body Cleaner
anyone used one?? I think i'm just going to fire some down the PCV hose to clear it and the throttle body out. its been 3 years of driving the car without cleaning, i'm sure there is some gunk/residue buildup on the throttle body plate and the screen that protects it.
Anyone do this?
if so, whats the best stuff to use, or can i just use brake cleaner?

I usally use "MOC" brand throttle-body & air intake cleaner at work (I'm an auto tech). I have also used "Wynn's" brand TB cleaner. Both are very good. Although I do not recommend you just spray it down the PCV hose because that won't really do much. I suggest taking the air duct off and spraying it directly onto the plate and using a screwdriver to hold the plate open. Then wiping the plate off with a rag. If there is a screen covering the plate then you have to remove the TB from the manifold.
