I would have fought that like mad! I weasleed my way out of one about 10 or 11 years ago for 81 over. I got off on a technicality. I am betting you are young and your car is modded, you my friend are a target. I still get that even in my 30's but tend to get let go a lot more than some of the younger I people I know. They think they can intimidate you due to age. Be kind, be courteous and know the law. And when something like that happens, don't be afraid to fight it.

That sounds familiar. One time I got the windshield replaced in one of my old cars. The following day I was stopped for not having an inspection sticker. (The cop was driving at the time, not even parked looking for people). I explained that I had just gotten my windshield replaced and showed him the receipt. Still got a ticket. I don't remember paying it though. Hmm...

 

I wouldn't test it personally, at least on a driving test.

I failed my driving test for only stopping @ a stop sign for one and a half seconds instead of two like a noob. I was failed immediately because I broke the law on my test.
