You're dumb.
You're dumb for comparing a M3 and 3 Series, different engine and body...
RS Might have some body crap...
But in the end it's the same thing, in a different color. Same safety... Same everything...
KBB? KBB isn't the bible or the law...
They are based off of trade "allowances".
Allowances given by dealerships...
These numbers are way off... because you can hide anything in there...
Example...
RS tC Trade In = $13,000
Used Car = $22,000
or
Regular tC Trade In = $10,000
Used Car = $19,000
The used car in both examples is the same car...
Either way there is a $9,000 difference.
It's what they show you and how they write it down.
If you're buying a new car...
Trade In = $10,000
New Car = $30,000
They'll say you'll get $15,000 for your car... but then on paper, they're going to show it as a $35,000 new car... To keep their numbers up. If their new car sale average is high... then their numbers are good. Toyota/Scion doesn't care what the use car is or the "allowance" because they have nothing to do with it.
You're 29? How many cars did you buy between 16 and 29? 1? You should know this stuff. QQ and take it all in. Learn something new.
$400, you made a killing for a crap fake suede seats, badge and some smashed grills. Don't even say the paint is worth more, because bottom line = paint costs the same, no matter what color. Pocket the badge and $400 is a deal. Try not skimping on insurance with Esurance... State Farm = whatever I say.
They gave me $800 + $400 labor for a swingarm that got knicked. A tiny little knick.
Esurance is budget insurance for a reason.
Damn, let the man grieve.
An "enthusiast" wouldn't buy a tC. It's a budget car.

I purchased my rs5 because it had a laundry list of parts that I would have bought & installed anyway, had I purchased a bone-stock tC. I added up the cost of the parts that I would have purchased (wheels/exhaust/sway/springs, ect), and it was cheaper to just pay the dealer another $2k for the release edition.
Like what has been stated before, the "limited edition" will only get you more $$ in a private sale, to an enthusiast who really wants what you have. To anyone else, it's just a tC.
