dont listen to him his 20 dollar exhaust sounds like someone is farting... very cheap sounding... the magna flow sounds so much nicer than the trd... is nice and deep and smooth.... one it breaks in it a nice throaty deep sound that gets louder but to a very nice degree... i have people that are "anti-rice" saying that my exhaust is the first exhaust on a import that sounds good and clean... plus it looks alot nicer to... lot less weight than the trd... and the trd is like 525 bux for just an axel back... my cat-back system is way better definately... truely this exhaust gets way better respect than the trd or some cheap universal 20 dollar fart can.

Look, all I showed was if you want something louder go w/ a certain brand, if you want something quieter, then go with another brand.

Sheesh, and Thanks for all of the harsh PMs. You know who you are.

Man, that's cuttin' it close. I've been stopped for my windows already, and having a Magnaflow would be adding fuel to the fire. I can hear it now, "You should know better, yada, yada, yada".
umm brad what set-up was at 95db? Toybox1 was at 79db and so was brain with the same axle back. So which one are you talking about? You didn't measure mine either, howcome?

all i know is im in the know and almost every import ive heard with a magnaflow sounded like crap. thats all. .
Than that means they were not installed corectly. Go to a team NVS meet and you can hear about 4 memebers with the magnaflow axle back. they are happy with the low tone/ perfect sound.

So which muffler would you recomend than?

Glad you had some compassion.

1 how do you install a muffler incorrectly? all ya gotta do is run the right piping and do a good weld. almost all shops will do it right if teh customer allocate. it's when a customer wants a bad setup will a shop do that setup.

2 i would honestly reccomend any brand other than magnaflow , arospeed , or flowmaster import exhausts. i personally run rs-type or a-spec. never had a prob always had an awesome sound. and trust me my ____ sounds great with my silencer out. ask almost any guy from nvs. it sound great when silencer out and decent with it in. and trust a tc to talk ____.

3 no i know everyone has to make a living but i also know that you can get the same magnflow with an identical setup to yours for alot cheaper at another shop . aka marco muffler and muffler tech. both local to sac i know but i'm just stating facts sorry.

I will leave all posts where you post about your exhaust alone unless someone asks for a comparison or how to get a nice exhaust for cheap.

my exhaust came in at 95 db - personally i wish it was louder (but Kat would kill me). i like the sound, which is not the lawnmower sound of most imports. as for cost, when i was looking into exhausts gabe's was the least expensive axel-back and i have a lifetime warrenty.

Magnaflow or TRD - Magnaflow

And just in case anyone is thinking I'm anti-Magnaflow, I have DUAL Magnaflows on my Bronco!

Dave's exhaust is louder because his car is so high off the ground. The exhaust note expands when it has to drop all the way down to the ground then back up to your ear. When I had my coil-overs installed while Dave was there.....

[Sorry b-day razzing! ]

I'm rolling on Magnaflow for my custom cat-back and it sounds pretty sweet! IMO

Gabe,

If was I get one of your exhausts, could you tuck that exhaust tip under the car instead of letting it hang out like that? In the pics above it seems to poke out a bit far, and I think I would rather it not. Maybe better pics will help.

Thanks!

I usually have the tip lined up with the bumper, its just that the camera is not facing down. So it just looks like its sticking out. :D

Very cool chris0! Thanks :D
I know I said I was going to post the sound clips today but I have no place to post them . too bad, cuz we got some great clips .
if anyone can help with this let me know. (and gabe, I tried to email you the video but each clip is about 9 megs and my isp server won't let me send files that large.)

before he welded the tip gabe had me place it exactly where I wanted it. mine sticks out a bit, but not as much as the pic posted here. it's exactly where I want it. soon I'll take a pic and post it.
