not exactly on springs, but I've a question about the TRD exhaust? How much louder is it over the stock exhaust? I wouldn't want to get an exhaust that intrudes the interior when just cruising on the freeway...constant low tones like that give me headaches :? But if it's a nice subtle difference, I think it would be nice to go for.

I was sitting in the back seat of a tC with a TRD exhaust and I could definately hear it inside. I didn't like the sound, it had a very deep, low tone. I personally wouldn't buy it.

the trd exhaust's in general is quieter compared to some other aftermarket exhaust. when your cruising at highway speed there is no annyoing drone that you have to turn on the radio to block it out. the only time you hear the exhaust is when your on the throttle.

I'd like to know if there's any caster/camber or heel/toe adjustments necessary with the TRD springs. Did you have it aligned after you had the springs installed? If so, what was necessary to fix?

your local scion dealer can get them for you by calling trd.

we haven't aligned the car yet but we will as soon as we get alignment specs from the factory. trd springs are designed to be as close to factory specs so i don't think there's huge difference. you can clearly see a little negative camber in the rear tires cause stock looks neutral.

Oddly enough, there wasn't anyone to help me; otherwise, I would have asked to take that black one out for a spin.
Would opt out of the exhaust they had on it. Other than that, the car looked very nice.
Low but not too low. Didn't see a stock one for comparison.
spoiler + springs + floor mats + exhaust really pushed up the price though.

First time being in one, and I can't say I liked the interior materials all that much...maybe I'm expecting too much coming from an IS, but...

Still great value...just don't go overboard on options.
$17,815 pushed the price up for a 5spd with those options :?: that's $1350 more than a base stock tC. $17,815 is still a bargain for that car considering how it drives and looks. i know you didn't get a chance to drive it but it rides very similar to the IS300, which i'm very familiar with.

rich let me test drive the tc w/ the trd springs on it on thursday.....it definately handled very well....he also lemme take a look at a stock tc w/ the dropped one and it looks a helluva lot better w/ the trd springs....only about a 2 finger gap left and ride comfort was still pretty good too....rich is awesome!....cant wait for the s/c to get released so i can go get my tc!!!

Default Damage?

What kind of long term affects would installing the TRD springs on the tC have? I was thinking about doing it but I'm now worried about having to replace parts more often than normal.

the trd springs will have no negative affect on the factory shocks cause it was designed to work with it. the only thing that will get affected is the alignment settings which can be fixed.

Any idea on how the tC would ride w/ the TRD springs coupled with the TRD shock/strut kit? Harsher? Stiffer?

I stopped by yesterday to see the lowered tC. It looked good and the TRD exhaust sounded a little more burly. I think this is the way I'm gonna go.

i can only compare to a 7th gen gts owners car i drove that had the same set-up as mine and it defintely handled better, but i didn't notice a difference in ride quality.
