Up to $3K dealer installed is a good price. I had my Matrix supercharged for $2450 for the kit plus $450 for the dealer install (that includes tax). I did have to shop around because SC kits for 1ZZ ranged from $2450 shipped to $3200 +tax locally, and install was quoted from $1600 down to $450 within 20 mile radius

So I guess if you look hard enough you can probably get the whole thing installed at a reasonable dealer for around $2500, as it seems that tC SC is a tad simpler setup than 1ZZ (vortech vs. eaton roots...) But that's just my thought.

spend your money on the basic mods for the car...

then later after the warranty is gone unless u have already voided it

add some forced induction

If warranty is gone, yes why just for little power from TRD?
Need to check the fine print about those TRD kit, don't know if that will keep the car warranty.

Well I just went to a dealer this weekend (where I ordered my Black tC) and the guy told me that the supercharger will be 2500-3000.

INSTALL IS EXTRA!!!

So probably around 3500.00 for the whole thing out the door.

What it sounds like to me is that this item is going to vary greatly from dealer to dealer.

why not just get your own leather. It's gonna be overpriced if you get it from the dealer. If you get it else where you can get it just the way you like it.

I really hope that 40hp is just preliminary. TRD SC on my 1.8L 1ZZ was putting out something close to 60-70hp (went from 130chp/105whp to ?chp/165whp), 2.4 has way more potential...

I don't think they will, this car is low price already and toyota will not take the responsible to add turbo on it. (like wrx and evo8, they have problem with warranty because the turbo )

i talked to a scion rep who talked to a TRD shop manager at the dealership... this is not confrimed but they are estimating the S/C will boost the hp to 220and the torque a little higher. ***again this is a rumor***

I don't know about you guys but loking at the stats on the motors. it has a stock comprestion raio of 9.6:1 which is ideal for the S/C and should make lots of power because that can use more boost then lets say a stock bseris engine in the high 10:1 ratio only can handle low boost due to the higher comp ratio. here is another example my copper s stock puts down between 9 and 11 psi, i have a aftermarket pully and am running around 15psi and the compratio of the copper s motor is 8.3:1 lower comp ratio= more boost= more power, as far as i have seen. does anyone have any specs on the S/C, like is it gear driven or a single pully? is there going to be a aftermarket puly makde for it to raise the boost, has anyone exsplored the options with the S/C?

the TRD supercharger itself will put 200hp.... you cant estimate 40-70hp increase... just buy the TRD s/c on the safe side... this car just came out...
