oops! haha.. i meant 140 stock

 

If a stock tc dynos at about 140whp...
and from what i'v heard the TRD S/C gives you about 60hp at the crank so about 40whp...

thats about 180whp total on a stock exhaust...
so with a 2.5 from the down pipe back...
you may be able to squeeze 195whp...

thats without messing with the pulley, which takes you to 9psi and will most likely lean the frag outta the engine void your warranty and other "unfavorable" side effects...

do you have to get the ecm programmed when you do the sc? how much just for the prgramming ?

 

Its included in the install charge if its by toyo, ZPI charges about 100$
plus shipping and insurance...

 

uh really? 60 whp seems like a pretty big gain from the stock TRD s/c . but post a dyno and i'll believe it.

yes. i have the SC. it's definitely a big difference. but i put in the NST 9.5lb pulley.. and now it's even better!

As far as I know it's covered when a toyota dealer installs it..

I imagine that it wouldn't be covered if you got a used s/c off of ebay

 

yes only brand new ones are covered

you can buy it from anywhere.. but it's only guaranteed if it's BRAND NEW and you have it installed BY A DEALER.
