Did they add in a *****, **** cavity and no lube for that quote as well?

Take your busniess elsewhere if they wanna pull that screw job. No way does it take 12 hours to install. 4-6 hours max. Unless you want to pay them for 6 hours of your car sitting around.

To my eyes I saw 5 things that was change since the 05-06 supercharger first came out.

If anyone paid 2200 for a 05-06 supercharger and you get one with a tamper proof cap. You might of got the old model supercharger that has a lot of problems. keep an eye on it. If you got the one with the tamper proof bolt then I will feel a little bit better because that will be the revise supercharger. I know a few people with the 06 supercharger with the tamper proof bolt. I hope they are not trying sell the old models at a low price to get it out the ir warehouses.

Reguardless if its the old or new model, its warrentied, so if it self destructs, the dealership will cover it.

^^ Yeah that is true it will be under warranty until someone mod it or if the dealership think you beat on it even if it's stock. lol You have the read the warranty papers. If your supercharger is stock and it's having problems and the dealership think that you or someone raced it hard they will not cover it under warranty, I'm Just giving people heads up.

This guy on scionlife had a stock supercharger and he blown his engine. they wouldn't cover his engine and supercharger under warranty because they said he didnt have oil. I like I said, I'm just giving people heads up. The funny thing about that the samething happen to my friend a fews weeks after the guy made a thread about that event.

I ask myself "why do they give us a supercharger if they don't want us to push it. What do they want us to do with the supercharger then? Drive slow with it?" Why can't TRD be more like GMPP? GMPP has upgrades for the cobalt supercharger and they want the owners of the cobalt to push it.

Thank you for contacting Scion.

We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to address your inquiry. The MSRP for the TRD supercharger is $3200.00, this pricing does not include installation. Please refer to your nearest Toyota/Scion dealership parts department for additional information. "

Do Toyota train their employees?????

print this out and give it to them. If the give you a hard time just ask to talk to the service manager. If they won't do it just buy it from TRDSparks.com or from Scion of Sacramento

i went back to the dealership today, I show them the page i print out from TRD Spark. It has the part number.
The dealership searched that part number and found the price to be $2130. I ordered it and it should come next Tuesday. Install fee is $800

TRD Spark 's SC is on sale for $1830. The service manager is giving me crap about if something ever went wrong, it won't be under warranty, because it was not ordered from the dealership.

I hate arguing and warranty is important to me, so i order it from them.

the part manager said it should be cover because it is a factory part by Toyota. But the service manager said i must get it from their dealership.

Thats BULL____. If the dealership is private, then your stuck and have to go with them. If its a corporate dealership, and the supercharger is sold by a TRD dealership, you can have it installed at any Scion dealership you want.

And Sparks will send you the paperwork to prove its from a TRD dealership and your not trying to pull a fast one. Give Sparks a call and ask them about it. Theyll give you the best answer to that question

Be honest i wish i had my car in the CONUS for a lil bit, cuz i would go to Sparks and let them install it rather than deal with it out here.

So anyways, on my butt dyno, I can really feel it in 1st, 2nd, and a little bit in 3rd gear.. 4th and 5th is normal. It feels like a totally different car. It's currently on the OEM 7lb pulley.. but next week.. i'll be putting in the 9.5lb pulley. I'll definitely try to dyno it after the 9.5 pulley install.

oh.. and the new lower priced kit for the 05-06 still has the old tamper proof cap. NOT the bolt.
Don't mean to be a nay sayer guys, but That doesn't sound very impressive 2,500 to 3k$ for 40whp that you can barely feel in 1st 2nd 3rd!!?? and not in 4th or 5th!!? C,mon! thats weak!

I can understand if this is on a fully stock exhaust system...
but that doesn't sound very impressive at all...
I have heard adding a header to the S/C set up kills your low end TQ(as with NA) so its a no win situation, with the stock exhaust system(manifold included) you seem to only feel the boost in the low end and changing out the manifold for a catless "may" move that power to the high end but at the cost of the low end TQ...not too promising...

my F/I dreams keep going down the drain what with FL threatening about Cali styled emissions and all...

^^ it's actually 200whp. not crank hp. so you're going from about 240hp stock at the wheels to about 200hp at the wheels. add pulley, and you're at about 210.
