Default trunk rattles after spoiler isntalled...

I did a search for about a half hour and couldn't really find anything useful. So here goes...

Three days after i got my car i got the pedestal spoiler installed at the dealer. On the way home i noticed a rattling everytime i would hit a bump. So i brought it back to the dealer and they said they would fix it. They had to keep my baby overnight. I went to pick it up the next day and they said they had fixed it. Bull____! When i was driving home it started again. Not wanting to deal with those ____sticks again, i decided to take matters into my own hands. I removed all of the paneling around the hatch back and tightend up just about all of the 10mm bolts i could find. Still didnt fix the problem. So i put weatherstripping against the paneling that touches the rear window. Still not fixing the problem. I think it may be the latch, but i'm not sure. Anyone had this problem before? please lend a helping hand....thanks

Hmm...maybe the dropped a screw into one of the holes or something and they cant get it out? Ya never know with some of those guys. The part that ____es me off is that they tell you O YEAH ITS DONE COME GET IT...and you go there AND IT HASNT MOVED OR BEEN TOUCHED! i have been through that before and i was LIVID!
So i feel your pain on that one bro. As for the rattling...i have a rear hatch rattle but it didnt start until like a month or so after i got the car. Hopefully there is a TSB coming out for it because it's annoying.

Didn't search too well, in 2 seconds I found:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...spoiler+rattle

Searched "spoiler rattle" and selected "Search all terms".

No prob! The search by the features button is close to completely useless. Always use the red search button.

how do you remove the dark part of the hatch? you know, the big part with the handles to help you close the trunk?

You unscrew 2 phillips-head screws underneath the handles and the rest just pops off. Be careful not to damage your panels, though.

thanks. that's pretty easy. sometimes i think someone who was very fond of legos had a hand in designing the tc. everything just seems to pop off with ease.
