Default The Truth

Hello yall. I'm hoping to buy a tC when I come home from the desert in the next year or so. I would like to know everones comments, truthfully, on your tC. I'll be driving mostly on the highway, bout 50 miles one way. I'm wanting a 5 speed and all the good stuff. I know there are a lot of mods I can do but how does the car perform out of the box. What kind of gas milage can I expect. I really like the look of the tC and I can't beat the price. Thanks in advance for yalls help.

This car is bad ___. Honestly, I have had mine since mid october of '04 and I love getting in to that car everyday and knowing that it is mine! You really can't beat it.

I get about 300 miles a tank (12-13 gallons) in the city, I've gone 350 on a tank cruising around 80mph on the highway. I'd definately recommend this car to you!

out of the box the performance is alright. Dont expect it to be a rocket. Great Bang for the Buck!

The last two long trips I took mine on were 650 miles one way, and running around 75 - 80 I was seeing 29-30 mpg on the highway. I see from 19 - 24 in the city.

I have had my IIP tC since october 04 and love it! I have the TRD Exhaust, Hotchkis Strut Brace, Fog Lights, Blue LED Accent kit, scurity system and the floor mats. One warning about the fog lights, please search for my post on FOG LIGHT WARNING. But scionlife is working on correcting that issue (toyota does not offer individual replacement lenses for the tC if yours breaks, the post explains it all) I didnt opt for the 6 disc changer, because with the mp3 player I can still pack about 120 - 130 songs per disc anyway.

I have driven mine from -17 F to 90F and it performs very well. It is fun to drive, is a great car for city driving too! I reccomend it. I have had none of the issues that some of the early tCs had so far, so I am very pleased

Got numbers to back that up?

And what's bad to some people could be far better than other people were ever getting.
