Update on my car
None of my other cars have these issues. I keep hearing "So what? A few rattles never hurt anything", "Its AZ, the stuff is going to melt", "Can't expect much from an $18k car" and the list of excuses. There is NO way to justify these problems. No new car, rather it be a $700 porsche or $9000 kia should have issue within 100 miles.
I agree totally. I used to joke with my parents about selling it for a Kia.
Lemon laws are looking like it's the way to go, man... my friend's dad just sold his Viper SRT-10 back to Dodge because it was a lemon. So these things happen.

Look at the chart posted by tc_Me_Baby. Lexus is at the top, above all. In 2002, Lexus COMPLETELY redesigned the ES300. The 2002 Lexus ES300's had TONS of problems. First year vehicle problems will happen. Maybe that's why my Cavalier sucked. It's taken Scion some time to get it out there, now it'll take them some more time to get it right.

This whole quality issues are really beginning to make me leery for what might be in store for me down the road (besides my roof popping and hatch rattles).

It seemed to me that your oil/lemon law post was some kind of sarcasm. I did read and re-read his post, and he mentioned the oil once. I can't speak for Nick, but I don't think that is his biggest concern right now.
Add a warped dash to the list. Fun ____.
Yes rattles are a major concenr. When someone that has never been in my car before gets in, and the first words out of their mouth are "Damn, sounds like your car is fallng apart" then that is an issue. Even with the stereo turned up, the rattles still prevail. Its annoying beyond belief.
