Hey everyone, i bought a brand new uncut OEM key. Toyota said they will cut and program it as a courtesy to me.

yes the dealerships hate me as I advocate fair maintenace pricing.

one other key is cracked where the little metal ring goes.

anyone know how to fix these cracks?

do you need a new key or can you buy an old key and use the keyshell on the cracked key or not?

fix a crack on plastic.......? buy a cheap one on ebay and replace, you should see mine. its cracked in 3 different places.

ok well i bought a new uncut key. it has the chip inside. toyota is gonna program and cut it.

what i want to do is buy a used key thats already cut.

take the housing off of that and put it on the key that i have which is cracked.

what do you think?
