Default well this sucks. tc electrical prob...

Get this! I installed my K&N Typhoon, disconnected the battery.. Installed the intake, everything went smooth... put it all back together, started the car; no CEL. GREAT I'm in the clear ---- NOPE!

When I went to roll down the driver window, the one touch didnt work (up or down). The passanger window, no response whatsoever. The moonroof no response.

So I drive my car around the block, all of a sudden the one touch works for the driver window.. The moonroof opens. The passanger window is still dead.

I didn't do anything electrical to the car besided plug in a MAFS. I've tried reseting the ecu, but nothing, the passanger window is unresponsive. Anyone have any ideas? All the fuses are intact. I'm stumped... back to the dealership it goes I guess...

First and foremost, I love your avatar!!! Now for your problem, When you disrupt the power for any length of time you must re-initialize the windows and sunroof. The manual should outline this proceedure, if not let me know and I will send you the proceedure.

If not...just roll the windows down (drivers side use drivers side button, passenger side use passengers side button) roll it all the way down then all the way back up and when it's up hold it up for 3 seconds and let go. That will reset the auto up and down feature for the window. Repeat on passenger side. When they put my alarm in i had to do this. Same goes for sunroof!
When i got my car back the lights were flashing on the window controls i was freakin HA! but my buddy told me how to fix it. I was worried because the passenger window would not roll down from the controls on the drivers side. BUt just do what i said it will fix that problem.

Whats wrong with everyone having their own opinion? I fail to see whats wrong with that.

BTW, if I had an avatar like that I'd put republicians right next to democrats.

On topic: good to know, it'd suck if I had to haul it over to the deal to fix something so simple.

When I installed the TRD shift light and short shifter I disconnected the battery, the passenger window did not work from the drivers side. Yes it may seem inconvenient and certainly not the normal of what one may have experienced with other manufactures. The really cool thing is that there is support online such as this thread and in the manual on how to reset the ECU by the user.

it was certainly something I wasn't used to, but I'm glad it was an easy fix.. It will definitly make life easier next time I disconnect the battery...

Yeah this happenned to me to when I got my parts installed atthe dealership. I had to pick up the car when they were closing, so no one was around to verify that everything worked. Fortunately, I already read one of the threads about this problem and knew what to do

Even though there is no more Calvin and Hobbes, I'm glad to see people don't think that is getting really old.

Of course, since ____ing on someone's political preference is not like putting them down.

Thank you. It's the expression of president Bush while he was getting schooled during the presidential debates.

just keep playing with everything until it works correctly. It should start working after a few minutes of being toyed with.

This is all in the owners manual. Everyone should read that thing at least once in its entirety.

When you disconnect your battery, you have to reset your junk.
