What is the HP to the wheels of the tC?? The xB HP is 94 to the wheels and to the flywheel is 108. So I would need to know what the baseline is for the tC. Anyone know? This might be a head scratcher for a while.

 

i found a Baseline of 159 Hp ..........please confirm someone.....thanks.....

 

figuring in drivetrain loss from the originally claimed 160, i'd say around 145ish

Yeah, that topic was a can of worms and gave me no correct or final answer. Thats why I wanted a definate answer, not a ,"I think its about this much." I want a final answer like the xB. We already know that the xB is at 94 baseline to the wheels, but I want to know if anyone knows the baseline for the tC.

 

There have been three sets of dyno charts posted that I can recall:

Even the same brand and model of dyno can differ, so the best way to get a baseline and figure out how much you gain from mods is to run it before and after on the same dyno. As a ballpark estimate, a stock tC should have something close to the range of numbers presented above. (The 130/141 numbers ware corrected for altitiude, but still seem a little low. I would expect 140-150hp and 143-153 torque.)

I guess the 94hp xB number is an average of a number of cars that were dyno'd.

I haven't seen a dyno of the tC showing 159hp.

 

Thanks JasonH, I hope I can work with those numbers. I guess I am going to have to work with the tC in a different way.
