If I was looking for speed it wouldn't be a TC ... I was looking into a Audi A3/A4 but the wife wants to buy a new house so I decided to go on a budget and get something that's a little fun for a few years.

I was about to get an A3 also.

But I went in to the dealer to bring in my Highlander for an oil
change and came out with a new car behind me. The price was
too low to pass up!

haha so true

a little of both for me I guess. When I crashed my 02 civic I wanted a little more power especially since my insurance gave my 12,070 for it.

That's pretty much how I ended up with the tC. I was looking at the 350Z/G35 but the fiance reminded me that we have to afford a house next year. We ended up with a budget of around $20000, and the car had to be new (I've never owned a new car). The tC was the best bang for the buck for us.

Awesome answers everyone , rember the more you know about anything the better.Me got this as a second car 1st was an rs eclipse 2001. This car is a definate upgrade. And i only said speed because I believe the potential for any car be 400hp+ if enough effort is done, I mean it's all about what you feel is fast enough for you.

Good features/$ value, IT'S A TOYOTA, and its very sexy. This is to be my reliable daily driver. As soon as I can afford one, I will have a Corvette for my toy to go fast in.

My daily driver (88 Pontiac Sunbird with 260K miles) blew up and I decided it was time for a new car. I saw a FM tC on the road and loved the looks of it so I test drove one and drove off the lot with it a couple hrs later.

Plus like the guy said above, its still a toyota, good bang for the buck.

wanted a more reliable and slighty faster daily communter. The tC is great value for the money. It'll stick around for at least 3-4 years.

To have a car to drive.

My Exploder kicked the bucket and I hate Fords.

I got my tC because it was in my price range. There were others that I wanted but you can't beat the price for what you get.

Got it because it was the best all-around value for <$20k out the door. Looks, decent performance, ok mileage, lots of practicality and packed with standard features.

Could afford practically anything I wanted, but decided $20k was my firm limit, so the tC was an easy choice, compared to anything else I could have got for the same money.

Smoothness and handling. Getting my Strut and Sway bars soon. That thing will turn like it's on rails. =D
