What did you buy your Scion tC for ?
If I was looking for speed it wouldn't be a TC
... I was looking into a Audi A3/A4 but the wife wants to buy a new house so I decided to go on a budget and get something that's a little fun for a few years.
i liked it wen it first hit the scene, it's my first car, it gets me from a to b, for looks , alil bit of street racing and because the dealership wants me to put it in a car show coming next year so i gotta hustle and get some goodies installed.

a little of both for me I guess. When I crashed my 02 civic I wanted a little more power especially since my insurance gave my 12,070 for it.

Awesome answers everyone , rember the more you know about anything the better.Me got this as a second car 1st was an rs eclipse 2001. This car is a definate upgrade. And i only said speed because I believe the potential for any car be 400hp+ if enough effort is done, I mean it's all about what you feel is fast enough for you.
My daily driver (88 Pontiac Sunbird with 260K miles) blew up and I decided it was time for a new car. I saw a FM tC on the road and loved the looks of it so I test drove one and drove off the lot with it a couple hrs later.
Plus like the guy said above, its still a toyota, good bang for the buck.

Got it because it was the best all-around value for <$20k out the door. Looks, decent performance, ok mileage, lots of practicality and packed with standard features.
Could afford practically anything I wanted, but decided $20k was my firm limit, so the tC was an easy choice, compared to anything else I could have got for the same money.
