(Forget about the exotic 4 cyl., they don't count here)

Id say "fast" for a 4 banger but only "quick" in a general sense
uh, its an economy car with looks man... i dont even think it's "quick"
I guess its all relative to the driver, i had only driven a 91' v6 grand prix. And a 84' olds 88 v8(super heavy), and an I4 S10 before i got my tC. So my tC is a dang dragster compared to those. But if you ask me, 0-60 in 7.2 seconds is pretty "quick" for a N/A 4 banger.

and to soros151, although the lancer ralliart is comparable at 162 hp, as well as the cobalt SS n/a at 173, the gearing of the tC makes their 0-100 times slightly faster.

I'm not here to say the tC is a sling shot ride, i'm just saying its not a slow torqueless everyday economy car like a civic.

And im also comparing BONE STOCK vehicles with no aftermarket parts whatsoever

Me too. Was having trouble with my used Subaru, so I traded it for the tC. I just couldn't pass up the cost/value of the tC. Hoping it is very reliable. I enjoy driving it. Not really planning to mod it much (have a 2nd car for that). I would like to add wheels/tires eventually, and maybe lower it, but that is about it.

I got mine get from A to B with style. After I get close to paying it off, I plan on getting an Evo, Si, Wrx, G35, or a Mustang GT

It is a great looking car for the price. I needed a cheap car to drive to work and tc fits perfect.

That's awesome. Okay, no, it probably wasn't, but you know what I mean...

Personally, I wanted to autocross and my 167k mi Jetta TDI wasn't going to cut it. Oh, and my children are old enough to buckle their own butts in while still being limber enough to clamber into the back of a 2 door. :D

And there's no other car (that I liked) that offers factory 17" rims for under $20k.

EDIT: Added qualifying parenthesis ;)

Well, you see, I have bills- things like mortgage, utilities, etc. But it's ok, because there is this place I go most days that pays me to do stuff... Only catch is that I need to get myself there. A tC seemed like it would solve that problem nicely, and so far it's done quite well.

My Pontiac Bonneville's fuel injectors blew and messed up the whole engine. Toyotas are quality and tC is badass.

it looks sweeeeettt and is "quick" and has potential. there are a good amount of things out there in terms of modding for it. and it's not a civic, integra or an eclipse.

I was forced to get a TC after the lease on my 2001 Celica GT-S was done. It's not a bad car but I got it to help build my credit.

It was a choice between a auto civic, or an auto tC..... to me it was a no brainer, civic isn't worth it unless its an SI.

5. it's not too small n it's not too big, perfect for me
6. it's the same engine as the camry i drove for the past 2years, which i m familiar with on maintenance.

Nice looking daily driver with decent standard features and the cost was great for what you get.

I never thought of the car as a performance car at all. I initially wanted a 350Z or a G35, but I decided that a Tc was more practical.
