Did you try tightening it with a hex screwdriver?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??? Your glove box cover scratches easily!!!!!! what are you, doing tests on the interior to see what scratches easiest?! Thats the dumbest complaint i've heard yet. People have serious issues like rattles, tsb's and recalls and your surprised that plastic scratches?!!! THEN DON'T SCRATCH IT!!!

no...are you kidding....

What's so dumb about it? Go take a look at your glove box lid, if you ever had a passenger in you car you'll know what he's talking about. If you brush your knee on it while getting out of your car it scratches....mine has more scratches than my brothers 14 year old Maxima...

^^^ And my 20 year old Maxima, not to mention my RAV4 which is used to haul firewood and Home Depot runs.
My tC interior scratches from my sons knees wearing jeans, not to mention the backpack.

Backpacks are the worst....who would think that the plastic buckles and the zippers would do so much damage.

Makes you wonder what it will look like after a few years of nicks, scratches and sunlight.

Everything goes in the trunk now.

I haven't found a prophylactic I fit into yet..Maybe by the time I'm 45..I'll move out to Cali, talk like a 20 year old skateboarder kid..hang out on my computer all day (and nite) and start stuff with every person on the forum. HIDING behind a computer screen with my small erection in one hand, thinking up smart comments and typing with the other hand.

Then i would be real cool like: slboettcher 45/M

Calm down guys.. Talking about someone being immature while making comments on the size of ones junk kinda contradicts itself, dontcha think?

The tCs interior is more prone to scratching than other cars I have owned, but the only scratches I have come across has been from the key.. which was pretty sharp from the factory. But, my 96 saturn has no visible scratches on the interior, and I have moved cross country with it packed to all but the drivers seat 6 - 7 times in it. So I can see the point there. It isnt a terribly bad difference, but one nonetheless.

As far as it not having enough power, that is not a problem with the car. First, it has as much or more than the other cars in its class, second, that is something that should be noticed before buying the car. Of course 200+ whp would be great, but tell me of one car in its class that has that stock without FI. The SI barely has 200 BHP and it is a slightly more expensive car.

i would REALLY like a rear window wiper. i had one on my last car, and im just shocked that theres not one on the tc. being in san diego, i dont use it often, but its so nice to wipe away rain or dew in an instant.

i would like a quicker steering ratio. keeping my hands at 9 and 3, i have to cross them to make a 90 degree turn. i would like it much more tight; along the lines of a honda, mitsubishi, or mazda. they usually have real quick turning.

other than that... i cant really complain about anything else. ive gotten used to the slight throttle delay, and i like everything else.

I'm not a big fan of the scratches either, and you people who think it's OCD to care about the appearance of the interior are stupid. I haven't heard anyone say that it's stupid to care if your car has scratches on the exterior. Some people here just have some over inflated egos and too much time on their hands to argue with each other.

Some things that I don't like about the tC are:

- Interior scratches easily
- Slight throttle delay (Isn't really that big of a deal though..)
- No rear hatch release button (Why? Just about every car has one...)

Other than that I have no real problems with the car. I haven't acquired any nasty scratches on the exterior yet, but I've been very careful not to park too close to people. I like the car in every other aspect. The design of the vehicle's interior and exterior are beautiful. At least in my opinion and for the price that I paid for the car. I mean.. c'mon I was looking at a standard camery yuck! I like the SE though with it's body kit.

My only major beef with the car is the easily scratched interior. I haven't had any major scratches yet, but I know they're easy to acquire and there isn't much I can do after I get them. I'm worried because I plan on keeping this car for quite some time, and I don't want my car's interior looking like crap when really do take car of my car. Remember, interior is just as important as exterior.

The hatch is large and heavy - it can't "pop" like a regular trunk lid. Any kind of remote release will unlock it and you will still have to lift it yourself.

I just don't see any way around this, unless there is someway to reprogram the remote so it unlocks all doors with one push of the button.

I had a "rear wiper" poll a while back. The majority wanted one too - or at least as an option.
While we're spoiled here and hardly get rain, I'd still like one.
After all, the other SCIONs have them, and we have the biggest window!

WW - there are kits for the hood, so I bet someone either has or can make one for the hatch. It takes gas-charged "shocks" that cost more. Being it's a SCION, I'm sure that's why it is the way it is.
Me, I'm glad because if it popped up, it would hit some of the pipes in my parking space at work! I have to be really careful opening it up there - can't let it go all the way up or DING!

I don't like the fact that the cubby light doesn't dim with the dash lights... I turn them down low... I guess I'm going to have to pull the sucker out.
I don't like the lack of a low washer fluid light.
I don't like the throttle body whistle sound. If I wanted a CAI sound I'd by a CAI.
I don't like the non-heated mirrors. First car I've ever bought that didn't have them... I miss them.
I don't like the cruise control stalk location.
I don't care about interior scratches... I'ts a work car. No one but me rides in it. It is parked on weekends :D

These things are pretty minor.

I REALLY don't like the feel of the clutch and throttle (drive by wire).. very indirect and no feedback. Also, the high angle of the pedals makes it uncomfortable to hold your foot at such an angle to control the pedals for extended periods of time. MY RIGHT CALF is CONSTANTLY sore now due to having to hold my foot uprite above the gas pedal and slowly lower my foot down to accelerate..otherwise the pedal would just go RITE to THE FLOOR! NO RESISTANCE (no throttle cable) makes the pedal very sensitive..good for gunning it when u WANT to, but otherwise a hassle to control.

i don't have the need or desire for a trunk release but i think it'd really help my friends out...they spent like 30 minutes trying to find the latch for the trunk when it doesn't exist. it's happened to over a dozen people whom i give the simple task of getting something out of the trunk of my car...
