The AC is an issue but manageable.

Only thing I hate are the OEM rims, tire width, and offset. Those style
rims kill all the 'sporty' ambition the designers had for the vehicle.

tires should be wider (8.0 - to 8.5) and the offset should be under 40.
absorb the small fuel economy hit and i think you sell more of these.

The paint is horrible. Tons of nicks all over the hood from rocks but what gets me even more is the cheap glass. My windshield has about 7 nicks in the glass. One of them is rig in my vow which drives me crazy. I do drive highway often but i don't tail trucks. I have never had this issue with any other car.

tons of people love the stock wheels. and its not expensive/nice of a car to have wheels that wide and offset. its only a ecofriendly 160hp 4 banger lol

I don't like how much better they look after modification. Grabs way to much attention because they look so damn good and modifications are the only way.

I personally wish the MPG was a little better for such a small motor :/..compared to other 4 bangers we get pretty crappy gas mileage

Paint is the only complaint. Maybe it's because mine is an '05 and they fixed the super thin/low quality paint.

What I dislike:
- Amber
- Free Scion rattles
- Lack of power
- The other free rattles that I can't pinpoint
- My panoramic roof won't reset and now won't open
- The stock pads on the brakes are a joke
- Handles like a pig

Overall I'm still really happy with...

my old car went about 40k on stock break pads, car handles very decent for a 16k car (add a rear sway bar and springs and for 300 bucks youll experience a night and day difference), and you need to reset the windows and sunroof after you disconnect the battery, neither of my tC's have had any of these infamous rattles that everyone _____es about.

i do hate the power though, cars weakkkk.

I hate the rattles too. But I'm tracking them down.

We got the hatch handle fixed under warranty. During the big freeze this winter it broke off, and I've read on here that lots of other owners have had this problem in cold weather. Note that a TSB was recently issued for this part, Toyota has been issuing a lot of TSBs lately due to the negative publicity about the unintended-acceleration thing. That has made getting these little nagging problems fixed a lot easier. The two latest tC service bulletins, both issued since January:

http://www.toyotapart.com/Back_Door_..._SSB000110.pdf
http://www.toyotapart.com/2AZ-FE_Thr..._SSB001210.pdf

Not sure what's happening with the throttle body, if people are having problems with it or what. We haven't had a single problem other than the hatch handle and the rattles.

Our mileage has been pretty good actually. We're up to 28.9mpg averaged over the life of the car (35k miles) and we've been getting 32mpg on highway trips. The 2007+ cars did have higher compression and slightly higher fuel economy rating though. Ours is an 09.
