What has the dealership messed up for you?
When i first bought my tC they gave it the whole wash n wax job. Prior it had no scratches on it, but when i saw it later that day, there was a HUGE deep gash above the drivers side mirror. They said they got it that way, I talked to the owner of the dealership and since the scratch was so deep, he replaced the entire door. PLUS they fired the technician that argued with me. Idiot ppl, why would I buy anything less than perfect?
My dealer first screwed up my title. They put my car in my dads name. Cosigner. His name isn't supposed to be on the title. We even made sure to tell them that at purchase. We finally receive the paperwork and he is on it. We call them and they flat out said well why did he sign the paperwork? At this point im driving on illegal tags because I cant get them because I dont own the car. They say they'll fix it. Well yeah they did by selling the car from my dad to me and falsifying the mileage on the car. So I bought a brand new Used car. This error cannot be fixed at all. Next I had the dealer install my spoiler only to have it almost fall off 9 months later. Inspection and a little help from this site I find my liftgate rusting because they 1 installed it wrong and two did not paint or put any rust inhibitor on the drilled hioles anywhere! Bare Metal! I am in the process of dealing with this issue.

i had a big crack in the paint on the driver side door... i noticed it in the parking lot... but maybe i did it but didn't notice... but my dealer fixed it under warranty... and that was before i started working there.
Ok the deal with the tiltle is yes it is financed. You do get a memorandum title though enabling you to get tags etc etc. So I bought the car with 2 miles on it. My dad cosigned only because we obtained a better finance rate that way. They put it in his name period. He then owned the car i am driving and paying for. We discover the mistake when it comes time for tags. I cant get them because he owns the car. My tags on the Scion are registered to an 01' Celica. By this time its 4 months old. The dealer then transfers the title/loan to me somehow by making up my puchase date of december 13 with 5,300 miles. I bought the car with 2 miles on Sept 29. That makes it no longer a one owner car, even though it is. I contacted the state and they told me it cannot be fixed and is permanent.
In Oct 05 my wife decided she wanted a new car, so we go looking at tC's. She decided at first sight she wanted the Azure Pearl color. Had to have it, we stop at one dealership with the car on their lot. However, it had already been sold before they drove it off the truck. So we sit down with the guy to discuss our options. We still owed $2k on her altima. So we just wanted to get a quote for trade-in. Maybe it would have been worth it, maybe not. He doesn't even take it to the trade-in guy, he just looks it up on KBB, then gets the lowest possible price ($3K) and says we won't get more than $3000. We told him we would sell it out right for $7K, he said we would never get that price. Then, and here's the point of this post, he tells us that we should look at Kia's or Haundai's cause they're cheaper, but good cars. I wanted to smack the guy. As we walked out we were in shock that a Scion dealer (the floor manager of 15 years) told us to go to another dealership??? Arg!!! We finally sold the Altima for $7000 and went to another dealer, ordered her car, waited 6 weeks. She's happy!
Fast forward 10 months, we're back at the same dealership, I wanted the RS3 xB. They're the only dealer with one, that can even get one, i tried. So among all the guys BS (and there was a LOT of BS) we buy the xB. The day after I buy it, i go back to get cruise control and the arm rest. The car is still perfectly clean cause it came off the showroom floor, when I get it, there is black smudge on the drivers side running board and a nick in the running board. A nick, which shows up black (in Envy Green paint). So this same salesman, I point it out to him, he's upset and rightly so, he wants to do something. He brings it to the body shop, then comes back to tell me it's best that they don't do anything (which I agreed with, I wouldn't have showed it, except it's the Envy Green xB just off the lot). However, the salesman offered to let me get any of the options (reasonably priced) as a sort of make up. I told him i wanted the tail lights, That's been 2 weeks. I haven't heard anything from him, I guess i'm gonna have to call him back and bug him!

Morbo, I was treated the same way with my trade. I was offered $3,000 for a trade in that was selling privately for $9,000-$10,000 avg. here. At 3 out of 4 Scion lots in Columbus Ohio. One dealer refused to order anything for me because I refused $3,000 for my car and was told by the finance manager that a new Scion was not right for me! She then gave the sales man a list of used cars and told him to show me the "USED LOT". I WILL NEVER return there for anything! I bought my 06' brand new at a "FAIR" trade in value, and they sold my trade 2 days later for a profit. They benefited and I did. Yeah, They made a pemanent mistake on my title, and I now have rust from my spoiler install, but they tried to fix the title and I got over it. I am in the process of the spoiler, and other warranty issues and they are taking care of it. All business have their mistake and problems. But are they handling them as best as they can for the customer? The one dealer I was told to shop the used lot, I have cost them some business. I know people that went there to buy and I sent them to the dealer I purchased off off. They ended up buying from the dealer I did. Word of mouth works.

Ha! Well, I doubt anyone will read this, but here goes:
When the car was brand new:
Tustin Toyota scratched up my interior very badly during routine maintainance. Then, when I returned to have the car fixed under warranty, and to fix other interior problems they had caused, a different service technician damaged my interior even further.
After being lied to by them; they stated that I could ONLY have my car repaired at Tustin Toyota, no other Toyota Dealership would replace parts damaged at their dealership, after being nearly threatened by one of the Service Managers:
"We will decide if your car will be repaired, no other Dealership, and Toyota will not be involved, we are the final say on what will and what will not be repaired,"
Three faulty A-Pillars later--several of which looked like a service tech had ashed on and burned them while smoking a cigarette, and after three trips, I called Scion Customer Service and followed up with the case I had filed.
So I made repeated trips to the same dealership, listened to several Service Reps lie to me, the Service Quality Assurance rep lie to me, all of them telling me different stories than Scion Customer Service and Toyota had told me about the warranty of interior parts, I finally had to have a Toyota Factory Service Representative come out and look at my car, at a seperate dealership.
Power Toyota replaced, under warranty, over $800.00 in parts that Tustin Toyota had damaged, gouged, scratched, scuffed, and scraped with a screwdriver while trying to 'fix' what they had done wrong.
So, months later, Power Toyota replaced all of the damaged interior parts at the Factory Service Rep's direction. And, were extremely helpful in doing so.
It may not be a big deal to anyone else, but I still makes me mad that a Toyota dealership caused $800.00 worth of damage to a brand new car, only six or so months old at the time, and then lied to me to cover their assets.
Minor irritation:
Every time I bring my car in for service, they wash it. I don't know what kind of towels they're using on it, but I only hand-wash my car, and every time it comes out of service, there are more swirl marks on it. I've repeatedly asked them not to wash the car, but they keep on doing it.
Dealership Related Bodyshop:
Had my car repaired under insurance when a Chevy Suburban rear-ended me at a red light.
The bodyshop argued with me over installing new parts--I wanted a new bumper cover, not a refurb. I ended up paying the difference out of pocket.
Had my hood repainted, out of pocket, to repair a large rock chip.
Days later, I got the car back. The Dealership Bodyshop had:
Dented my Driver's side fender
Chipped paint off my front bumper
Dragged something across one of my headlights, leaving scratches and cracks
Knocked my front grille in, apparently because they used pliars to break and cut off the grille mounting clips, instead of unclipping it, and re-installing it with the correct hardware.
I had my front bumper re-painted, the dent taken out by a Mobile Paintless Dent Removal repairman. The bodyshop refused to replace the grille, instead they epoxied it back to the front bumper. They did not replace the headlight. I eventually sold the the headlights and bought new ones, because I was so sick of looking at the damage they did to it.
There were several people at that bodyshop who were very helpful in having some of the damage repaired, but none of it should have happened in the first place. I took the car in to have some body repairs done, not have it dinged and scratched up.
Recently:
My dealership--Now Power Toyota, I will never go back to Tustin Toyota again, no matter how 'convenient' their service hours--replaced a blown hatch strut under warranty.
The tech scratched the hell out of the paint inside the hatch, anywhere near the strut. He also dropped something sharp on my rear bumper when working on the struts, he put a thin, inch-long scratch all the way through the paint.
I didn't want to go through the whole three month ordeal to get THAT repaired, so I spent a couple of hours buffing the scratch out with Scratch-X. It came out, but is still visable. The scratches inside the hatch, I just ignore. It still burns me though, after all I went through, calling Corporate, calling Scion Customer Service, having someone from Toyota, not just the dealership come out and verify that I was not "Just being overly sensitive," or "Being ****," as I was told by the 'Customer Service' (haha!) representative of Tustin Toyota, but that these were valid problems.
I purchased a car, I take good care of my car, and I pay a lot of money to the Dealership to have my car maintained, the right way. I don't think it's too much to ask that my car should be returned to me exactly as I brought it in, with whatever was wrong, fixed. That's what I'm paying them to do, after all.
There are some very good people at Power Toyota, but I realize I now have to take care to only make appointments with the Service Manager who knows me--and calls me whatever names he might have to behind my back
, but is understanding and nice whenever I bring the car in. In fact, there are more than a few Service Advisors who are great at what they do, and understand that when you pay for Dealership work, you expect Dealership quality work.
And before anyone judges me too harshly for what I've written here, realize I could be saving a lot of money by just going to a mechanic for maintainance instead of taking the car to the Dealership for things like oil changes and service intervals.
Well, you asked for it.
If you read any of that, you get a gold star.
*Thomas might. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

It sucks you guys have so many problems. At my dealership in jersey theres sooo much paperwork its i,possible to get my family mixed up with someone else's. The whole process was smooth and there were no problems except when the box was shipped they forgot a bumper or something so we had to wait three days extra
