Default What is rice qualifications / Rice citation

I'm sure many people here have already seen plenty of Rice Citations but the ones I see always have something wrong with them. I think we should try and narrow down what the base requirements are for being "rice". Here's a list I've compiled so far (based on one citation i think is pretty good).

Exhaust
Excessively large exhaust tip
Lack of an exhaust system
Impersonating a lawn mower (sound and smell)
Clamp on exhaust tip
Smoke stacks on a non-diesel vehicle
More than 2 smoke stacks

Exterior
Use of "GT" style wing on a street vehicle
Advertisement of a non-sponsor company
Excessive use of chrome
Stupid vanity plate
Cut springs / rice bounce
Excessive turn signal indicators
Visible duct tape
Outrageous body kit
Self-applied window tint
Racing stripe(s)
Ridiculous pain job
Chrome hubcaps/spinners
Fake disc brakes
Rims exceed value of car
Lame grill
Excessive use of Ebay accessories
Wheel/tire combination is disproportionate to vehicle
Nuts on trailer hitch
Inappropriate use of staggered wheels
Obvious use of appliqués or stickers (ex CF)

Exterior Lighting
Excessive use of fog lights
Lame neon plate frame
Irresponsible use of LEDs (Tires, Nozzle, Brakes, etc)
Clear corners are brighter than headlight
Goofy scanner lights

Badging / Stickers
VTEC on car not so equipped
Type R on car not so equipped
______ on car not so equipped
Display of Japanese words
Use of misspelled words
Got _______
Use of Calvin peeing (he pees on everything)
Car's brand window sticker

Interior
Tacky dash kit
Obscene shift ****
Stereo exceeds value of car
Dashboard resembles kiddie playground at McDonald's
Display of fire extinguisher

Driving
Speeding in residential areas
Sorry excuse of burnouts/ Neutral drops in AT
Trying to race cars superior to your own slow POS
Over leaning and driving
Talking on cell phone while driving (MT only)
Failure to observe and/or comprehend traffic signs/signals
Driving around parking lot _____ times
Thumping bass to mask weak engine sound
Unable or too stupid to park between two straight lines
Street racing
Careless or reckless lane switching
"Mean muggin"

Miscellaneous
Not possessing the minimal IQ (70) to operate a moving vehicle
Your girlfriend is proof that a car can't get the girls
Domestic Rice

NOTE: Items in italics are amendments.

Pretty sure that's just a backronym

And that you mean "Enhancement" rather than "Upgrade" ;)

You forgot "unpainted body kit", haha.

WHY INSTALL IT IF IT'S FRIGGIN NEON GREEN OR PRIMERED. WHEN YOU DO GET IT PAINTED IT'S GOTTA COME OFF ANYWAY!

absolutely, and the "definition" is constantly altered. For example, in the 1990's and prior to F&F, a lot of the cars you see in shows now would have been considered rice.

you forgot the HUGE tachometer with a shift light on an automatic, and the other random guages on their stock engine.

sorry. this kid in my autoshop class meets pretty much all this stuff:

1991 Auto Accord, huge tach, enourmous body kit. a 6 foot outrageous paint job(only looks good 6 feet away.), super loud exhaust. 20 inch rims, rivit on side cowls. the works. oh man.

Holy crap. You just defined almost any vehicle currently in running condition on the road today. Not including the persons currently testing for his or her drivers license with a State Approved Instructor currently seated next to them.
