Default What tire size best for upgrade?

So I am buying my girl a new Scion TC. I have some 17x7.5 5x100 inch Rota Attacks lying around that would look good on the Black sand pearl Tc. I know the stock tire size is 215/45/17. Anyone else here runnng 225/45/17's on their tc? Any different than stock and any problems like rubbing or anything? THanks guys.

i dont run these but the 225 will be no problem, infact the factory 18's come with 225 40 18's, you would have no prob runnin 225. if you are gonna run on stock rims, they recommend however that u dont go over 225.

I upgraded from the 215-45/17s to 225-45/17s right away. There are no problems, other than the fact that with a plus zero sizing like that, your speedo will be very slightly off - something like when it reads 50 MPH, you're actually going 50.9 MPH. But the fitment is fine and the grip is great with these new tires - I assume most 225s will be better than 215s, but if you put some Bridgestone RE92s back on it, it would probably suck just about as bad as it did. But as far as you're concerned, those should be finen.

You prob don't want to put a 235 tire on a 7" wide wheel.
It's gonna look like freshly baked bread trying to bust out.
