what is the waiting period to get a tC in So cal???
called up glendora and was told 6-8 weeks.
Just wondering if anyone knew whats the exact waiting period. 6-8 weeks is a long time without a car. Hope someone can shed some light on this.

That's probably an accurate time frame. I ordered mine back at the end of June and it took almost 5 weeks. I'd imagine the waiting lists are longer now. If you aren't terribly picky about what color and options you get, you should be able to get it a bit sooner, but if you're in a situation where you need a car soon, the tC probably isn't the right choice for you.
I agree, that’s probably the avg wait time to order a tC right now in LA.
You can probably find a tC right now at lots of dealers in LA…however the problem is that they’re all gonna have rims or lots of extras that you may or may not want. As for ordering a stock tC, it really depends on the color… Longo quoted me 10-14 weeks for a stock 5-speed Black or Flint Mica (popular colors), but said the wait for a White tC would be considerably less.

yeah, that's about right.... Longo quoted 10-14 weeks for a IIP stock 5-speed. Penski had one in stock but a couple of the accesories I absolutely did not want, plus I didn't like the sales guy. So since I'm part of ScinergyIE, I ended up ordering from Glendora :D
yeah....whats up with the longo wait (which i am also in as well)...they should have the most tc's in the country...probably the reason why everyone went there and now they have none...oh well....in short....the wait is almost unbearable and vere off to another car?
it is going to come down to color and transmission preference along with probably who you know
. i know from being at scion of glendora that when they get a truckload in all the tc's are sold
hey phiquach
when you got your car from carson, were u forced to buy all types of extras?
I went to carson last month and test drove a car, but it had all the extras, plus rims...
I asked them if i could order a tC w/o the aftermarket rims and they told me no.

I requested my BSP, stick w/ side curtains with Power Scion Buena Park (great people) second week of June. 3rd on the list. They called me up July 31st to notify me of the allocation and wanted to know if I was still interested. Last week they told me that it was on the way somewhere in the Pacific. Should be here in another week or so.
As an FYI, the port of Long Beach and Los Angeles is overworked this year. With possible strikes in the past month it slowed down things quite a bit (avg 2-3 week delay) as well as heightened security - my company imports through that port. As a matter of fact, the ports are so busy that they are hiring a record 3,000 long shoremen and they're doing it through a lottery system. The pay will be well over $20/hour if anybody's interested (saw it on the news). Anyway, with all that happening, things take a bit longer.
Of course Toyota has some leverage. Anyway, hopefully I'll have mine in a week or so. Oh, I won't be getting the side curtains which is OK. I just want the freakin car! :D
