what a waste....
You know, it could go both ways on the elderly driving. If you tell a 65+ that some 16-18 year old bought a red sports car, they'll probably say you're just going to wreck it, and odds are (ask your insurance company kiddies) you will wreck it before the old bag does. Before anybody gets all hot and bothered about it, I'm not defending them because nothing is more aggravating that an 80 year old in a cadillac in the passing lane going 50 on the I-10 or something. I'm just saying I'd rather have some old guy 20 feet behind me on the freeway than some punk 16 year old riding my ___ or trying to race me.
Besides, it is a toyota camry basically, so granny is driving a 2 door red toyota camry. It really is a cheap car, and a good deal, why should young people be the only ones to buy/drive it? Another thing, you know salesmen lie through their teeth and embelish. I'm sure it was some dudes 50-60 year old mom.

you think thats weird, there is a really old women that is always down in the heart of the ciy that wears a sign that hangs from her shoulders. the sign reads F*** WAR. she is always wearing it....
I've had more 40+ year olds ask where they can get a tC than the "generation y" drivers. Agreed that they need to have a driving test for older drivers that shouldn't be driving, but I'm sure Scion loves the fact that all age brackets are interested in their vehicles. Money is money.
You call this a Camry?
You call this a Camry?
The Solora is more like a 2dr Camry, NOT the tc! I see so many old people here driving xA's and xB's. Havent seen an 80 yr old driving a tc yet
Thats pretty funny though if I saw an 80 year old woman driving an RS01. was it 5spd??
Fine it's not a camry. Even if it was a 2 door camry is that a bad thing? All I know is when I bought my car the salesman would not shut up about how reliable that camry engine was. Yea, so it's a whole different car and company, but I'd call the TC a camry before I'd call it a real sports car, honestly. Gimme about 30% more HP and I'll change my mind.
Not bashing the Camry at all. I will probably buy a used one for work driving and winter driving when the saturn finally dies (that thing runs forever!). And there are few cars I really consider "fast" stock anyway. But the tC definitely holds its own in its class. When you look at the track times the old heavy v8s were putting out, these little 4 bangers are pretty impressive. but no one calls it a sports car. It is on the line between a coupe and a sports coupe, but that is it. To me, "sports cars" are vettes, some (and I emphasize some) mustangs, porche, lotus, etc. I dont consider anything above a 14.0 sec 1/4 mile "fast" per se. Fast for its class maybe, but not "fast". Fast (as far as stock street vehicles) to me is mid to low 13s, and that is pushing it. Maybe I am just picky.
