what decides final drive is the size of your tire.
on the tC, your 45series tire is already pretty low-profile, therefore, in most applications (for handling) a larger wheel is not needed.. wider or with a lower offset (wider stance of the car) will definitely help handling and grip, if properly sized with a wider tire..
bigger wheels really are for looks.. well for the tC anyway.
