Pro - They make your car look cooler
Con - Heavier wheels will hurt your performance

 

larger wheels increase top speed while sacrificing acceleration (does this by effectively changing the final drive ratio)

 

they do make your car look better but they are power robbers

 

bigger wheels has nothing to do with final drive.

what decides final drive is the size of your tire.

on the tC, your 45series tire is already pretty low-profile, therefore, in most applications (for handling) a larger wheel is not needed.. wider or with a lower offset (wider stance of the car) will definitely help handling and grip, if properly sized with a wider tire..

bigger wheels really are for looks.. well for the tC anyway.

 

i was going off the assumption that bigger wheels equalled to largers tires. sorry for not specifying

 

if one were to properly plus size..... ;)
