if you mess with the wires coming out of the remote receiver, you might be able to hook a relay system of some type to do that.
the reciever is behind the panel on the drivers side back seat, like above the speaker

no, not lazy....the honk comes with an alarm, not the lock.

Maybe it's just me but I always hated that feature. I don't want to announce to the world that I just locked my car besides if I get home late, I don't want to wake anyone.

Let me be the one to thank Scion for NOT having my horn beep when I lock my ride.

I usually hit the lock button a couple times to make sure.

I always thought the honk was a honda thing because that is what our Odyssey does. Toyotas do this beep sound and I was hoping the tC would include that.

Yeah i hated that. That's why i got an alarm put on that works with the intergrated remote and factory locking options. So now when i lock my car with the remote the lights flash then the car honks and the parking lights flash. And when i unlock the car it honks twice. The neat thing about this aftermarket keyless entry upgrade that i bought is that, it has shock sensors, you can use the key to still unlock the doors (valet key) and it will disarm the alarm. The only wierd thing is that when you have the key out of the ignition and you are sitting in the car...if you hit the lock buton on the inside of the door, it arms the car HA! but that's coo, i can live with that.

I think the only Toyota's that do that beep thing are the higher class ones, IE: Camry, Avalon, Highlander, Tundra. Although i have seem some Tacomas that do that aswell..but i havent seen any of the other cars do that. I have heard them just honk.

It doesnt honk when you double lock it -Because its not a Ford!

Honda's also have a lighter toned honk as well- but not on Scions.

Toyota's have a "beeb" on thier models with keyless entry.

However, Scion only include the "beeb" if you add the Scion security system.......

The scion security doesnt add a beep. It adds a honk.

I've gone into a store and right back out just to click the alarm again to be sure I locked it. Got to see those lights flash!

My last car Mitsu Galant, had the option to set the car to either honk or not honk when locked. Scion should of included that so everyone is happy

I personally like the confirmation honk just so I know I pushed the right button.
