honking disturbs the peace. the teenagers that get tcs cant creep in and out of there parents house with it like that, lol.

You may be accidentally pressing the unlock button while turning off the key... happens to me every now and then

as far as not locking your keys in and making sure the doors lock:

As mentioned, they auto lock on a tc

NEVER lock a car with the lock button if you want to truly prevent locking the keys inside. With keyless entry, use it... without it, lock the door with the key after you get out... you cant lock em in then

But, on the tc, if they are in the ignition the doors will not remain locked.. so as long as you dont lay them down in the car you are pretty safe there.

You could of locked the doors from inside the car. Sometimes you need the honk or the beep. But the alarm chirps when someone is tapping on the glass. I can't stand the BMW alarm with that annoying chirp!

i know how u feel.
There is a good solution to this, after you lock the car, right after you get out: pull the lever to see if the door will open. Then you know for sure that the doors are locked.

or as you are walking away hit the lock button on the remote and watch your cars lights light up, and you are good to go.

I always lock the door right after I shut it, hear the door locking, see the lights at the same time, see the door lock on the inside and the alarm light go on. So thats All I need. I also like the non honk lock.

I like the viper alarm in my mr2. It does that "high end" electronic sound.
lock: click
unlock: click click
know what I'm talking about? It's this fairly high pitched lazer zap thing.
