Will intalling an intake cause problems
Will installing an intake cause any problems like make ur engine run too lean and break something? i just got a brand new 2010 TC and now im hesitant on putting on an aftermarket intake because ive heard of problems with the engine light and having problems with resseting the power windows. please give me ur thoughts and comments.
the most reason that really made me think about is this https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...19#post3319519

Ic thanks now what about this check engine light problem and losing torque? ive searched around and seen a couple people saying theyre weapon R intake wer setting off the ECL even after theyve unplugged the battery and reseted the ecu. if i take off the aftermarket intake and put on the stock intake bak will i need to reset the ecu again?
Unhook the battery, take off the stock air box, install the in cai be careful not mess up the maf sensor. Hook the battery back up, start the car and let it run for 5 or 10 mins so the ecu can learn the new amount of air and take it for a drive. Then reprogram your windows and you are done. People that have problems didn't do something right, there is no reason to get a cel
I had an HPS before I went boosted and no CEL's or any loss of torque. Best bang for the buck out there because it reduces the intake pipe to the OEM size at the MAF flange section so it can get a proper reading.
I had a cel light before I installed my CAI, but after I installed it, my cel light vanished, and I landed the job of my dreams. Not to mention, the girl of my dreams knocked on my door, not two minutes after I finished the install, and was almost begging me to take her out to dinner. All this, thanks to my CAI.
But really, I had no trouble with my CAI.

I have not had any problems with my intake. When i installed it i let it run for about 15 min and listened for any weird sounds.. other than that it does very well.
